Greetings from Australia
« on: June 15, 2017, 10:05:51 pm »
Em hotep everyone.
I live in an Outback town in Queensland, Australia. My favourite pastime is riding horses, as you may guess by where I live! Lol. I am hoping to be enrolled in the Beginners Class soon, and I'm still finding my way around the Kemetic Orthodoxy site. I've been a practicing Wiccan for over 40 years, and I feel it is time now to make a commitment to this beautiful spiritual path. I'm looking forward to 'meeting' other members here on the forum.
Love and light to all.
Justice Xx

Em hotep,

I was in the beginner's class that recently finished, and I think you'll enjoy it! I also ride horses, so that's cool that you enjoy it :)

Thank you for the warm greetings everyone!
It will be nice to swap some 'horse tales' with those of you who ride, and I especially look forward to discussing spiritual matters with like minded friends. Great to meet you all!
I'm wondering if other beginners who have applied for the upcoming Beginner's Class have received acceptance emails yet? Rev. Siuda said she was going to go through the applications Friday (our Saturday), but I haven't heard anything yet. I Dont want to pester her, so I thought I'd ask forum friends.
Thank you.

Em hotep, friend! You typically will not receive an "acceptance letter," because pretty much everyone is accepted. We have (and have had) Beginners who found there way here for a variety of reasons, who have many different beliefs. We have Beginners who are young and old, Beginners who are new to Kemeticism and have been doing this for years, and Beginners who follow multiple paths. You'd have to be explicitly a danger to the community or something to just be denied outright. After you take the classes, you decide whether or not the community is the place for you. You might find that your beliefs and KO's don't line up, and that's okay. You're not obligated to stay with the House, or you can remain Remetj, connected the the community but making no vows.

You should have gotten a "this e-mail has been received" response immediately after sending; this is automatic and happens every time you send anything. If you didn't get one of these, I might re-send the e-mail just to be safe. You'll hear back about the beginner's class right before the class starts. Like right before.

Thanks Tjemsy! No worries....I guess I'm just over eager! My first application disappeared into the ether, I became aware of this when I contacted Rev. Siuda. She advised me to resend it, which I did, and yes I received the automated response.

Yay, I can't wait to start!
Thanks heaps.
Love and light,
Justice.
