Title: Headcoverings and light clothing
Post by: sundancer on May 11, 2019, 04:18:55 pm
Do any men wear headcoverings? Examples, please?

Also, I'm looking for light clothing to wear over things as a covering to my ankles and wrists. This is actually related to a reaction to sunlight, but I'd also like to see if I can incorporate this into my practice as well. Suggestions (or even links -- feel free to message me if need be!) please?

I can get you the links for clothing that is light but blocks UV, if that would help. My boyfriend burns so easily and works outside so he has special pants and shirts that he wears while working that specifically block the rays.

Is covering ankles and wrists a traditional devotion thing? I didn’t know that

Nope. :) Not for Egyptian religion(s), at any rate. We have plenty of scenes of individuals worshiping deities wherein the worshipers aren't wearing full-length clothing or jewelry on their wrists/ankles.

Certain articles are of ritual importance for various types of priest and for the King, etc., but that's not the same thing.

I hope that helps!
