Title: Het-Hert statue arriving this weekend
Post by: Ibaienhethertnut on December 27, 2019, 10:36:28 pm
I am pretty excited because I have a Het-Hert statue arriving. Of all the Netjer, Het-Hert is the most *there*, followed closely by Wepwawet, Sobek and Bast. While I have been doing my private worship, I have put off getting any specific images, although at different points I had made statues of her for others. But after all this time I finally went ahead and ordered one. I am over the last several months a romance author by trade, who has been recently successful. As it was dawning close to my one year anniversary of when I first began writing in earnest, I wanted to do something special for her.

So my question is, how best should I prepare her statue to be installed?

If you have access to it, The Ancient Egyptian Prayerbook that Hemet (AUS) wrote has a detailed explanation/directions for purifying and installing shrine statuary.  :)

Hmmm..I will look through my notes. I did take a beginners class. I should still have most of the emails...I hope. I am still waiting on a bunch of stuff to arrive from Alaska.

It would be the same instructions you received for setting up your shrine.

Thank you Tjesi for clarifying the matter. I hadn't been sure if there was extra that should be done for a specific deity. I will refer to those instructions.

There is nothing specific that has to be done, but if you feel moved to add something like song or poetry or dance... She would love that. Whatever brings you joy.
