Title: The Birthgiving of Hethert of Iunet
Post by: Hethertshema'anefer on March 31, 2021, 06:27:48 am
Em hotep, everyone!

In the April HoN News I saw that we are going to have a holiday called "The Birthgiving of Hethert of Iunet". I became very excited about it because I have my birthday on that day too, and somehow I feel the call that I should do something big on that day. So, if anybody has any information about that holiday, what people did in ancient times, what we do in the present, what the mythological story is behind the holiday, please feel free to share.

Thank you everybody in advance! <3

Senebty,

Shema'a

“Iunet” is the AE name for Dendera — more specifically, the temple complex to Hathor there features reliefs of birthing women. Looking into the temple’s history might be a good springboard!

Hethertshema'anefer! I saw that too. I'm planning to look on my calendar and maybe do something on that day. Maybe a repeat of my amulet ritual if people are interested. I would love to do something with you!

Thank you for the tip, Emsenet! I'm going to check if I can find anything useful through the history of Dendera.

Rev. Tjesi, your amulet ritual does sound interesting for me! I'm planning to organize a dance and feminine rirual workshop for my bellydancer friends at my teacher's studio, but it would be really nice to do something at the HoN too!
