[PUBLIC] Kemet Today - Rev. Tamara's Blog & Podcast / Re: A Word on RPD
« on: February 01, 2010, 10:24:46 pm »
In my questionnaire, I wrote that the Names I didn't know but WANTED to get to know were Taweret and Amun. Look how that turned out. :D

Also, the Names I had a relationship prior to the RPD was Bast and Nut, and Hemet(AUS) said that my Mother is sort of like Them, but not. Maybe They were in cahoots with each Other.....

Very nice. No typos here. :)

Djehuty on the other hand, His sense of humour I have not borne witness to yet - but I suspect it to maybe be a bit dry.

Just a little bit. ;)

I have never met Him, but I think of Him and Heru-wer whenever I see hawks sitting on telephone wires, watching out for prey.......or Shemsu.

Mine's just a little table with a white cloth, statues of my Mom and Dad, and a picture of my Beloved. There are some things that remind me of Them, but overall it's very simplistic.

Sometimes its easier to have less stuff, because then if you had to move, you wouldn't be so attached to material things-by having a simple shrine, Netjer is more in your heart than in the things They own. :) (That's my take on it)

I really appreciate Him because I feel like He has my back, and Mother is always with me, so They protect me. That is the upside to having an intimidating Parent and/or Beloved.

This bit resonated with me Maaut, because my Mom is slightly intimidating, and Djehuty and Amun are just POW. So I feel very protected, and lucky.

Nun scares the hell out of me. I know it's potential creation, the possibility. But what if nothing ever happened, and nothing was ever created? We wouldn't be us, we'd just be an empty void that doesn't have feelings, thoughts, memories, Parents.

I just realized that too. Thanks for bringing this up, cool topic! :)

:) Ravyn, your enthusiasm is inspiring. Thank you!

Djehuty is with me whenever I drive, strangely enough. Always sitting in the passenger seat, smiling. Other than that not really anyOne else, my Mother has been a bit elusive. And Amun's just happy to get His offerings in Senut.

Outside of RPD: A bit of Heru-wer, a wee bit of Bes, maybe because of my shen.

Tanabet, does Bast have any epithets?
I haven't found any on the Internet. I'll check out my local library this week, just to make sure.

I put a picture i printed out from the net into one of those Altoid tins, the ones with the tiny paper thin Altiod things you out on your tongue-world's smallest pocket shrine! :D

I am wearing a Djehuty pendant, (in man-form form the shoulders up with his ibis head), a bracelet that i made for various Names in my life, campfire style, and a tattoo for Dad. :) And a ring that was my grandma's (she's part of my Akhu now) but when she died she passed it on to me.

I have been asked if my Djehuty pendant is a 1) anteater and 2) a skull.

It looks like an Egyptian god,but hey.
