These days, my Line Up, Re and Bes.

So Serqet, Wepwawet and Wepwawet-Re, Tefnut-Bast-Ma'at, Re and Bes.

But I am very grateful to whoever They send whenever there is the need, and for all those that walked the Path with me in the past.

I found that Netjeru pick who they pick, in the order They do, for the reasons of Their own, and it is better to not over think it too deeply, as the reasons will come clear with time.

A person knows many people through life, some come some go, some stay, for however long a time, some are each others Always. There is no need for it to be different in the God realm, in my opinion.

As to bothering, not quite. I have had requests of the Divine, both Kemetic and others, that I was unable to meet at the time, but I would not say that is being bothered. We needed to work on the logistics and timing of our contact, the schedules and demands lining up, but that is about it.

They come as they come, and I am free to accept Them or disregard :P As with anyone in my life, there is that choice. If there is not, that is for another debate altogether.

I see Wepwawet pretty much in connection with everything one can imagine, in a sense He is the connection and connector of everyone with everywhere.

And given He is the King of the Duat (and the Dead are always with us in our daily life, if there was a firm separating line, then daily veneration of ancestors would lose its meaning, for they'd be unreachable at some times; and they are not) it is safe to presume his (and other netjeru) continuous presences, whether we feel them, or not.

I also see Him in shifts of forms, on whichever level, which gets pretty huge, realizing. (Thinking of cellular shifts and everyday growth, macromolecular processes, chemical reactions, and the like, anyone?). So, transformation, growth, totally speeding that up wherever He wishes to.

In a way a healer, too, opener of the paths of healing to come through. And from unexpected sources. (More links Wepwawet-Ra talking, here.)

My Beloveds and then Bes, as of past two years.

I've known him in other forms and paths, still bit surprised to find the 'kemetic' Him.

Both my KO parent and non-KO kemetic parental / guide deities are aspected.

I work primarily with one form of Them. Aware They're also always the other, by their very being, but these are not depths I'm able to have a grasp on emotionally and ritually, so forms that are reachable to me-focused work it is.

But then, I have the same thing going on with other traditions with aspected and polyform deities / entities; compartmentalizing according to need and comfort zones simply serves my spiritual life well.

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Re: Head covering?
« on: February 21, 2015, 12:30:12 pm »
Em hotep,
I wear head covers in certain times (multifaith kid here, in some it's considered polite for the spiritual work as per tradition, in some it's established practice as a means as protection, spiritually) though not for most of daily life (for gender and safety reasons).

So I'm definitely of the mind this is something that's personal, depending on tradition, and depending on community one's in - and it's also important to keep in mind how safe one would be with certain clothing, physically. (One could argue spiritual protection translates to physical, and is encompassing. But on another hand there's also enough bigoted people in the world, and depends greatly where do you live.)

As to KO, as was said before me; I don't think KO has a stance for this sort of thing either way. ;)

Em hotep Abigail,
I would keep in mind this perhaps isn't a Yes x No situation. What Ra may be doing is saying, 'right now, you need to do something else first', not an absolute/hard no to Kemetic Orthodoxy.

Or He may be opening different door for you, to explore more communities, kemetic or not, check out cool options before deciding The House is the one you want, need, and should be in. I'd try to clarify with Him as how things are meant first, before concluding or acting on those conclusions. It may be that the essence is blurred by translation Divine/human, or your momentary circumstances. That's ok, it happens.

On a personal note, I relate. Gods that are Parents to me in this or that way had to step back at times and leave care to someone else, or the Akhu, because while things were all clear to Them, it didn't mesh with human realm, let alone my needs. (I respond well to directives, but they have to be phrased in a certain way. If it sounds like infringing on my freedom or counter intuitive, I'm likely to boycott the thing, even if it's good for me. So it took people closer to human realm, and closer to me in time and space, to find me that path that'd be understandable for me.)

Another useful way to look at this may be that it's not a separate god, but a god(ess) with a specific role coming through; and look into that role. Off the top of my head, sky-serpents are often mediators, connectors, bridgers of differences between spheres and differences among groups of humans as well. So perhaps something to look into - can the repeated theme signify a God with specific message and purpose, instead of different form or different God altogether?
