Interesting. But it is known that Yamanu (amun) for example was originally not supposed to have any images. Then as time went on, worship was corrupted.

Makes total sense, Sobek.

And yes, Amun is Amun, Amun-Ra is Amun and Amun Ra working together as One power.

I have seen some of those. I was just really hoping to find some myths.

Can you list a few links I can use to find some of those things you are referring to? I'd appreciate it.

Senebty!

Thank you for all the responses. I kind of think it might be what you said, TadagyterRa. I know him as manifested all around us. So of course he might not want to be worshipped and seen as manifest in an idol.

And no, I Tad, I don't think the Ancients were less developed either. I believe they were much smarter in general. However, when he said this, he was talking about the collective conciousness of our human race being still young and childlike. I think. Who knows.

I would say that it was both a surprise and not a surprise.

I figured that Heru-sa-aset would show up. He is actually the one that brought to the faith.

As far as Amun-Ra, I had only just been handed over to Amun by Heru-sa-aset. So I had a slight idea that he might show up, but I was really surprised that he showed up as my father.

But He is really an amazing God. All the things he has shown me and all the progress he has helped me make is beyond explanation and belief. I love my Father for sure. Any other question? LOL I hope these are not too long, I can talk about him all day.

I am very interested in the answer to this question.

There are stories of many of the Gods. But I have only seen Amun mentioned in ONE myth, and only in passing really. Are there any out there about him that I am missing.

If there are not, why do you think that is. I'm certainly going to have to talk to him about it.

Sorry Alexander. I just got back on and saw your response.

You are very welcome. Please do check out my site, but be aware that it has not been updated in awhile. Still some good info.

And if you have any questions, please feel free to PM me. I will respond as soon as possible. I love talking about him. :)

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Use of Idols

Hello Everyone. I haven't been on the forums for awhile. I've been so busy with work. But I'm trying to get back now.

I wanted to post this here because I find it very interesting. My fathers are Amun and Ra. As I was meditating with Amun one day, he spoke to me and said: (paraphrasing) "Use Idols no longer, they were appropriate for man when the race was young, but no longer." Like I said, I am paraphrasing, but that was the gist of what he said.

I am wondering if anyone else has gotten anything like this from their parents or beloveds. Especially if your Father is Amun or Ra. I know there arent't many of us with Amun as a father. Please let me know.

I am a son of Amun Ra. The way that he has inspired me is that he IS Netjer, from which all else manifests.

I agree that it may be Heru. This is how Heru-sa-aset communicated with me before.

12
The Gods have not been strict at all with me thus far. Although, I'm not sure why completly, but maybe because they understand my situation. I know I need to do a lot better. Especially with my Dads Amun-Ra.

I agree with those last two posts. The editing room is where the whole "story" comes together. Also I agree that the news gives us the perception that we know what's going on, when in fact, we have no idea.

Nekhtet for you! We are related in a way, Amun is my father! Congratulations! Have you dealt with him much?

Amun- Ah-Moon. This is how I pronounce it.

I have also seen it spelled Amen, Amon, Ammon, Yimen, and a few other ways.

Hethert- I just say it like it looks to me. Sorry.

Have you had your RPD yet visions. I know we were in the same class. (I was Tutankhheru then)
