After waiting desperately since 7am the bomb has been defused. The evacuation will still be held up for a while then all the evacuated people will be accompanied home by the police, the fire brigade and all the other aid organisations and all the bedridden people will be transported back into their hospitals.

Thank you everyone for your prayers! Thank you so much. I still can't believe we've all survived this.

Thank you so much everyone! My cat and me are at a safe pace now but we are still in fear about our homes.

Em hotep,

I seldomly ask for prayers but today I am in fear.

Large parts of my hometown - including me - are being evacuated on the 25th of December because of a 3,8t aircraft bomb from WWII. It's one of the largest evacuations in Germany ever because of a bomb. 54 000 people, 32 000 households, hospitals and retirement homes are being evacuated. There will be no electricity, no water, no public transport because it will be exclusively used for evacuation. People are in panic, trying to find a place to stay, save their family and pets. I will leave my house together with my cat tonight to avoid the biggest panic on Sunday and bring her to out safe place with as little stress as possible.

May I kindly ask for prayers so no one gets hurt, especially the people who are working on defusing the bomb and that we can all return to our undamaged homes soon.

Thank you for reading, senebty,
Sati

Hi Robert, em hotep :)  I am very happy to see you here!

And may I take this opportunity to thank you for your fantastic work you are doing for kemeticism in Germany! Your blog posts, your Facebook pages and your events are such a great gain for the german kemetic scene.

:)

I have a question: Does anyone know how long it usually takes until you know if you've been accepted for the intro course? I applied June, 6th and I was told it usually takes around 3-4 weeks. Will I get informed if I get rejected?

According to some earlier theories Tefnut is associated with humidity rather than with rain. But newer assuptions reject this theory and associate Tefnut with fire so it's like heat and water kinda united.

In fact I, too, remember her being mentioned in a coffin text describing the creation myth of Heliopolis where she's basically replaced with Ma'at who instead of her appears as the daughter of Atum together with Shu.

Da hätte ich durchaus Interesse daran. :)

In welcher Form hättest Du Dir das vorgestellt? Online? Als Seminar?

I see, thank you, Tjemsy and Asetemsatweret. :)

Is "god-bothered" the correct term for being receptive to interacting with gods in polytheism?

I am German so I am probably not very familiar with general terms in the kemetic online sphere.

Hi :)

I have never experienced gods begging me to worship them. To be honest that is a situation I find very hard to imagine.

The only thing I can say is that there are gods I built up a steady practice around in the recent years and others I wasonly  temporarily in touch with - particularily when the ritual work was not so much about myself but for other people (I get asked a lot to perform rituals for others).

The only god I would use the term "bothering" on may be Seth because his way of entering my life was very insistently which, retrospectively, I would count as one of his characteristics.

The only beings who "bother" me are people. But not gods. I feel honored when gods take notice of me at all which is sometimes not easy especially when you have to try and get in touch with a deity you have never worked before and don't feel a connection to personally. Of course it's a lot easier to connect to gods I feel more able to relate to. AFAIK, I would tend to say that subjectively felt limitations are more likely to be on the human side and not so much on the gods' side.

I would love to see this papyrus, if it is not a private thing that shouldn't be shared. Is it available to view anywhere at the moment?

Sure, I don't mind sharing it at all :)

I've made a blog post about painting it but it's in german unfortunately, so I can't post it here. But here is the picture.

Mostly I am offering wine, beer, pure water, sometimes rose water or orange blossom water, bread, nuts, dates but also little chocolates.

And I love making little those little sweets out of honey, dates, figs and various nuts and sometimes I am making honey liqueur or pomegranate liqueur

Seth and Ma'at (obviously). :)

I'd say my practise around Seth is more intense because I have a daily morning and evening ritual for him.

But I feel a very strong mental connection to Ma'at, too, which is always present everywhere I go and with everything I do.

I am with Sedjfaiemitui basically :) Art and research but also rituals are my way to interact with deities and getting to know them. Sometimes deities appear to me but don't stay very long, which might sometimes be my own fault because I drop the practise around them out of lack of time. I think if deities appear to you it is a chance you are given to get in touch with them and it's up to you what you make out of it.

I've painted a Bes papyrus to put it on my wall in the hall way as some sort of guardian and I made a little fayence-ish hedgehog for him. I don't have any particular practise now around him but I do feel like I have a connection to him.
