I'm eagerly awaiting notification if I've been accepted or not too, you're not alone :)

Hello everyone,

Some backstory - I have been practicing divination in the form of tarot, runes, and recently oracle cards. I have been practicing for a few years now, and it is such an enjoyable and fulfilling thing for me.

One of my reading methods is a three card spread of my tarot deck, paired with a three rune draw. After the reading, I take the runes and create a sigil for the querent so that they may look back and remember the reading and remember the lesson.

I am really interested in practicing and providing my divination to strangers. Currently, I only read for myself and my friends, and while this is enjoyable, there is more of a challenge to read for those you don't know.

So my question is that:

Do members here practice these types of divination?

Do members here provide their craft to other members here?

I saw a post regarding an oracle but I wasn't sure exactly what that entailed.

Disclaimer: I am not interested in charging for my practice. My 'payment' comes in the form of feeling like I helped someone understand themselves better. I practice my divination to honor my Netjer.

Let's have a discussion about animals in your life, (cats, dogs, reptiles, others).

Are there times when you see your animal companion's behavior and wonder if the Netjer are watching and caring for you through the eyes and actions of them?

I personally have a cat and a dog in my life and there are times where I notice the animals acting out of normal behavior.

My cat for example, is not very affectionate. There are times though that he becomes extremely affectionate and follows me around like he is tied to my ankles when I am in need of comfort and company. I understand that yes, animals pick up on our moods and respond accordingly, but I can't help but wonder if the Netjer possibly influence them as well.

Yinepu is very, very important to me since I finally opened up to accepting him a few years ago after a lifetime of signals and messages.

And yes, if I do get to the point of discovering who I am a child of, I am really nervous about whether or not I am a child of Yinepu. I hope I am, but as mentioned above, we need to be open to all.

Yinepu seemed to force himself into my life when I needed it most. The first signs I started paying attention to were the Death tarot card in all of my readings. When I was originally seeking my deity I was drawn to Bast due to my history of close relationships with cats. But something felt off, it didn't feel natural. The energy felt more canine, and the death tarot card continued showing in my readings. Finally, I held a statue of Yinepu in my hand, and everything seemed to fall in place.

I took it home and set up my altar. Through more tarot readings and other divination methods including dreams, I came to learn that he had found me to teach me the aspect of death in regards to important change. The main phrase I heard often in my thoughts and dreams was, "in order to change and blossom into something new, you need to allow something to die." In my case, I was holding onto past mistakes and past influences that were holding me back from my goals and what I wanted to be in life. I had to let these things die to move on. Some of the things I didn't want to say goodbye to and I grieved over them - but that was okay as it was a natural part of accepting death.

It is possible that Yinepu is trying to assist you with similar.

I practice some rituals for better sleep coupled with prayers to the Netjer.

The important part is making a habit out of the ritual, and repeating it the same way every night. What you use for your own sleep ritual will have to be tailored to you after trial and error.

In my case my ritual is as follows:
1-2 hours before bed - take an evening walk with my dog.
30 minutes before bed - read for 30 minutes.
Sit in front of my altar and recite my evening prayer.
Fill my aromatherapy machine with the fragrance I specifically use for sleep (and only sleep.)
Spray my pillow with a handmade lavender spritz.
Turn off all the lights - turn on my night light (it casts stars onto the ceiling)
Turn on my sleep audio and set timer to 5 hours (enough time to get into REM.) I use the Relax Melodies app personally.
Crawl into bed and sleep, do not use smartphone/device in bed.

This helps me sleep and keeps my bad dreams mostly in check. These types of rituals should not be a replacement for actual medical help if you have actual health concerns related to sleep.

However, if you experience pretty standard sleeping issues that are not health issue related, creating a routine (aka ritual) around your sleep may help you greatly.

[PUBLIC] Welcome! / New here - Hello!
« on: June 17, 2019, 11:51:21 am »
Hello everyone, I'm new here! I was eagerly waiting for admin approval to join this forum and I'm so excited to be here.

I am here to learn and discover if Kemetic Orthodoxy is what I've been looking for in my life. What I currently practice is best described as pagan I suppose. I keep an altar and practice witchcraft (primarily purification and protection spells/rituals).

While I do honor some Nordic deities, the primary deity I honor on my altar is Anpu/Yinepu (Anubis). He came to me in dreams a few years ago, when I was starting to practice my craft and open up to other forms of spirituality. He has appeared to me throughout my life but I was not always open to the signals.

I also honor Bast and Ma'at on my altar but my relationship with them is not yet as developed as my relationship with Anpu.

As mentioned above, Anpu/Yinepu has appeared to me in dreams, and has also been a pillar of support for helping me deal with my clinical depression. Last year in the fall I had a dream where I was attempting to warn people of someone's foul deeds. I was unable to be confident in my words and unable to convince people. Yinepu spoke through me, like he had posessed me, and helped the people listen and understand. I heard his voice, but the voice others heard was mine. I felt this was a lesson teaching me that he is here for me, and here to help me. I believe he was encouraging me to be more confident, and louder.

In the winter I had another dream. Yinepu possessed me again and pulled my rings off my fingers. They were some prized possessions I wear every day. He threw them into a fire and allowed them to melt. I believe this was a lesson teaching me about materialism. I use buying and shopping as a coping method for my depressive moods and I believe this was Yinepu teaching me how unhealthy that behavior was.

I am eager to learn more about Kemetism as from what I read it seems to fit what I have been in search of. Thank you!
