Actually there wasn't astrology like we have today (that came from the Greeks). No one was born under a Netjer, so you really weren't really born under the name of Wesir.  The reason that idea came to be is the New Age movement and has no historic basis. The Dendra zodiac that people use was created by Cleopatra VII during the Greca-Roman period.

The Cairo Calendar the is the list of good and bad days would be the one used by the ancients.  Also remember the calendar of Ancient Egypt wasn't based on the Julien calendar that we use.  And if you follow the calendar you will notice that the good and bad days may change due when Wep Ronpet happens. Not sure there's a reason why that date is a bad day, but as I said that may change year to year.

Sorry about the brain dump.

Most of the names that are Kemetic are from when those who decided to go through the RPD, which will brought up in the beginners class.  Those that decide to do that become Shemsu we are then named by Hemet (AUS).  Be patient and enjoy the class and make sure this is a good fit.
Daily rituals (Senut) is taught and explained in the class, again enjoy the process.

While I don't have first hand experience in anything you have gone through, I have witnessed and supported those who have.  Which means I don't know anything.

I am straight and CIS but I am an ally, know that you will have a strong support system here.  Now I will step aside for those to share their stories.

I have one Kemetic themed the other is a pyramid.  A 2nd Kemetic one is planned.

Hi there!

[PUBLIC] Prayer Requests / Shooting in Pittsburgh
« on: October 27, 2018, 11:53:19 am »
As you all know we had a mass shooting crime in the Tree of Life Synagogue in the Squirrel Hill area of Pittsburgh.  There have been 8 fatalities and numerous injuries.  Please pray that Ma'at will prevail and to Yinepu for safe passages for all who passed.

I wouldn't think so.

Is it required to get mummified, technically it really wasn't required then.  Mummification wasn't a standard practice for a majority of Egyptians because they were farmers and couldn't really afford it to begin with.  The mummies we see in museums are actually from many different time periods and are usually royalty, nobility and upper classes.

As for today if you want to keep some of the tradition you can include on your marker a photo of you to take the place of a mummy.  In many tomb statues were used in case the mummy was damaged.  If you want to be mummified be prepared to pay a very high price, base price from one company is 67,000 US dollars.

If you wanted a burial of a ordinary Egyptian you can be buried is a desert.  Most farmers were buried like this.  Hope this helps.

I don't think the IV Dynasty is the answer they are looking for.
