Em hotep,

I don't know if I've posted to this thread before or not. I like to call Ra Sky-Dad. I feel like it's kind of appropriate. I get distant but fatherly vibes from Him... so... Sky-Dad.

[PUBLIC] Prayer Requests / My husband's brother

Em hotep,
It is with a heavy heart that I come to you all today.  My husband's brother Mason passed away today. It was unexpected and very sudden. I would just like to request prayers for Mason and his family. Thank you.

I vote that we call it an inundation too. And I feel it should apply to any size group. I'm posting about this on tumblr, I think.

Death is scary af.  I hate it.

I have never agreed with anything so quickly and so completely in my life.

Em hotep all,

I was just curious what the differences between reconstructionism and revivalist are? Like I have a general idea of what makes something reconstructionist, but revivalism seems a bit more elusive... can someone explain the differences to me. Particularly any functional differences?

Thank you and senebty,

Came here to say basically what Yinepuemsaes said. I have no problem with people doing it, I just feel its only fair if the person undergoing the procedure can truly consent. There's a bit more to it than that, but bodily autonomy is the important part.

Em hotep,

That's not a silly question at all!

I'll let someone else answer on the nature of that kind of relationship, as I've not had my RPD yet.

But, yes, generally They are determined at your RPD.

You can have a beloveds divination if you feel you may have acquired more *after* your RPD.

I hope this helps. I'll be watching this thread as I'm interested in the concept of beloveds and I still think the relationship seems a bit mysterious (more likely it simply differs from person to person.) But I will be interested to see what others have to say.

Em hotep and Welcome!

Congratulations on being accepted to the beginners class. It is very exciting and educational. (Duh!) But anyways we're glad to have you. I always love when we get new beginners and I love seeing how others approach the Netjeru.

Em hotep, Nick!

I'm glad you found your way to the House. The beginners class is a great place to start. There are also loads of blogs by members of the House and many other resources available online.

I'm so glad someone else recognizes Ra's warmth and love. I feel like we don't talk about it enough. I feel very serene when I meditate upon Him. His light, it really illuminates for me.

Anywho, welcome to the forums. We're so glad to have you here.

Em hotep,

I don't think we've met yet. I'm Leaha. I've been remetj for around a year now, I think. It's nice to meet you. I'm glad circumstances are allowing you to return to the forums. Welcome back.

Nekhtet! And congratulations!

Em hotep,
While there is always room for improvement, I don't think anyone is beyond repentance. There is always time to change your ways and do what is in ma'at. Or, at least, that's what I believe. Mind you, I don't mean saying sorry and continuing the behavior. I mean making sincere efforts to do better.

Em hotep,
Welcome back. It sucks you had to leave tumblr, but you have to take care of yourself. It's great to see you back though.
