I am sorry to be a nuisance. Are there any updates on the class?

I asked this question when I joined Beginners' Class 54. You're given a list of recommended reading when you start the course. However, I was aware that reading books takes time and often money. What should I prioritize?

What was recommended to me by more than one priest is what I would also recommend: The Ancient Egyptian Prayerbook, by Rev. Dr. Tamara L. Siuda. (Yes this is the Nisut.)  I also recommend getting an electronic version as (a) you will get it immediately, and (b) it is searchable. (I got the PDF.)

I do have many of the other books too, including Karenga mentioned above. And while I was waiting for the course to start (and before I had the recommended list), I read "Red Land, Black Land: Daily Life in Ancient Egypt" by Barbara Mertz, which is a wonderfully fun, easy, and very human read.

I went ahead and purchased the digital book of the Nisut. I’m looking into to getting the book by Karenga! And I’ll grab the Mertz as well! Thank you so much!

Em hotep!

Thank you! I’m certain I will as well. Does anyone here have a suggestion of books I may want to read along side the beginners course?

I’ve consumed Kemetic knowledge on my own through years of solitary practice. But I’m always up to consume even more!!

Em Hotep!

Not entirely sure where to ask this out but has anyone received their invitation for Class 56 yet? I know it starts on the 15th, maybe I’m jumping the gun here?

It’s always been Bastet and Anubis but I’m reading through the forums and I’m seeing that I have to leave space for all the others. And I’m warming up to that idea especially since I’ll be entering the beginners class soon (fingers crossed that I’ll be accepted)

Em Hotep All,

This is my official introduction here. I am Shadae or Sha for short and I am 26. I have followed the Kemetic faith off and on for years since I was 17. That's almost 10 years. I only made it my permanent path 3 years ago. I spent time reading, researching, reading some more, reaching out to others, and joining social media platforms to speak with those who had the same thoughts that I did. And it all lacked a sense of community for me. Community is huge with anything I do and am involved in.

Over the entirety of me following this faith I've run into KO a gazillion times and I was completely to nervous to join. I read secretly through the forums, read all about RPD, Remetj, Shemsu, etc... And didn't decide I was ready to join until only last year. I applied and was accepted but as I'm sure you've already seen from my other post, I wasn't able to go through with it due to medical reasons. But I am back and have applied for the beginners class and I am so beyond looking forward to learning and experiencing things in this community. I'm looking forward to gaining life long friendships as well and more

Thank you all for responding and reassuring me that I'd get accepted. I tend to get a bit over excited and then I overthink
