[PUBLIC] Welcome! / Re: Hi again!

Hello Makaroth,

Its nice to see you again. Welcome back.

Quote
I know that me being drawn to these deities doesn't mean they'll show up in the RPD if I am able/choose to do that eventually, nor does it mean if they don't show up that me being drawn to them is somehow a mistake.  Just thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone wants to share their thoughts!

In regard to your question about other Gods/Goddesses (Names) showing up prior to a person's RPD, it has been known to happen :)  When you have Gods/Goddesses showing up prior to your RPD, it could mean many things.  You may find out that you have a special relationship with one or more of the Names hanging around you.  Perhaps some could turn out to be in your line up /Parentage but perhaps not.

Don't focus on who you think should be there, rather go with the flow of things and see how they show up during your divination.  If you have been divined, that does not mean that you can't have another relationship with another Name or Names.  If you have not been divined yet, those other Names hanging around you now could be possible parent/beloveds for you but they may not be.  They may be Names who have a selected/special reason for being there.

When you have your RPD with Hemet, most of the time, those things are addressed as you would find out to whom you belong as well as who your beloved(s) may be.  Regarding our Beloveds, You can always get a new beloved at any time.  I've never seen a beloved come into a person's life and  walk away.  Once they are there they usually remain a part of you life until your time is up and your journey to the next life begins.

Each of us has a unique relationship with not just our Parent(s) and Beloveds but also many of the other Names as well.  You don't have to stop interacting with the Names once you are divined....I still call on the other Names when I need something special or want to know more about them.    Each experience is unique and it has a meaning to that person.

For me personally, when my RPD came, I had other Names that has been showing up prior.  I did not know what they wanted and a few of them I didn't know who they were.  When the time came to have my RPD with Hemet, she asked me some questions to which I responded.  When I gave my ansers it was apparent that there were other Names that I didn't know about who had been actively working with me for quite some time (as far back as I can remember for Amun and back to at least 1997 for Bast).  Aset and Hethert came into my life a little later but I suspect that they had also been there but I wasn't ready to see them until they each showed up.

I hope that helps answer that question? I will let others add their own thoughts. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Enjoy your journey.

Meres

Hi Hawke!

I do remember you from before!   Welcome back to the House.

You can always retake the beginner class as some things have been revised since you left prior.

Once you get your website access changed, you can start reading through the boards as there are some changes to the membership level that you will need to review and familiarize yourself with.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Take care of yourself and see you out on the Boards.

Tjemsy,

I'm very sorry for your loss.  I'm keeping you, your uncle and your family in my prayers.

May Yinepu watch over your uncle John Andrew Nat as he begins his 70 day journey to the afterlife.  May Set wrap his arms around you and give you the strength needed to make it through the next couple of days.

Em hotep Rehen,

I wanted to see if could find any other references to Taweret being associated with Hethert as I was curious after reading your question.   I did find a reference about Taweret being a form of Hethert way back when.  The author is Candace Reilly.

In her article she said talks about this subject.  She goes on to say that "I propose that in depicting Taweret with similar attributes to figures of fertility of Egypt her purpose as a goddess is more complicated then a domestic goddess who protects family life. When Taweret is depicted with a swollen abdomen and pendant breasts I believe she is representing a pre-dynastic mother goddess, similar to Hathor Mehet- Weret, and due to her similar depiction to Hapi and the fecundity figures her purpose is not only to protect pregnancy and childbirth but to guard and represent the fertility of Egypt."

Here is the link to the article if anyone else wants to read it or is interested:
www.inquiriesjournal.com/articles/556/taweret-an-untraditional-egyptian-goddess

I found it to be a good read.

Good evening Anepu,

I don't have the site up yet for public viewing or access as I'm still in the process of building it.  Once I complete it I'll post a link but it's going to be a while yet.

Thank you.

Em hotep all,

Rev. Sobeq,

I never saw this thread until now ...I must have missed it :)

Yinepu
Informal - The Jackal Dude or the Big J. or on occasion the Dog Man.  (I'm very informal with my Parent)
Formal - Lord of the Shrine of the Desert Crossroads, Royal Child, He who is upon his Mountain, Lord of the Wrappings, Father or Sir.

Amun
Informal - Grandfather, the big goose, King of the Gods
Formal - Lord, Sir, He who hides in plain sight, (I lean towards being formal with Him)

Bast
Informal - the cat lady, aunt (not grandmother)
Formal - Lady of Malachite, The Eye, My Lady (I'm more formal with Her)

Aset
Informal - "That one"
Formal - Queen of Magic, My Lady (I'm very formal with Her always)

HetHert
Informal - She who grins, (I'm more informal with Her)
Formal - Lady of Gold, Lady of Turquoise, Mistress of the West, My Lady

Interesting ....I have more but these are the ones I use the most for my Parent and my Beloveds.

I enjoyed reading these as well.  It was interesting to see how you all see your Gods and what you call them or how you relate to them individually.

Thank you for sharing.

Hello again Tai'a,

It's nice to see you back. We all need to step down and away at times.  I've had to do it myself so I understand needing the time to regroup and think things out.

There has been some change (isn't that always the way with things?) but you've got time to settle in and check it out.  If you have any questions, please do ask :)

Take care and looking forward to talking with you in the future ..I'm working on getting to know my jackal brothers/sisters better.

Hello Terra Akhert,

Welcome to the boards.  We love questions here.  I'd like to add to what Gezausenu and Shezatwepwawet have said if I may.

The eyeglass analogy is a good one.  That is how I understand it too, that "Beloveds" are the "filters/glasses" that are used for you to look thru to see the world and help you make sense of things. For some reason that explanation stuck with me and for me personally, it works. My beloveds are Amun, Bast, Aset and Hethert (in that order).

When I had my RPD, I only had the Amun and Bast in my line up.  Over the years, I acquired Aset and Hethert.  When they showed up and asked me if I wanted them as a beloved, I said yes of course. So you see you can have one or more at any given time in your life.  I've never known anyone that lost a beloved after they acquired that Name.

Hope that helps a little more.
