[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Bedtime Prayers
« on: January 29, 2019, 06:47:23 pm »
Remember the whole, "Now I lay me down to sleep" prayer? Well, I was wondering if anyone had a Kemetic version they would like to share or maybe share a little ritual they do before bed.  :)

[PUBLIC] Serving the World: Ma'at In Action / Children of Egypt
« on: January 28, 2019, 03:30:34 am »
Does anyone know about the charity called Save the Children? I want to be sure that when I sponsor a child that it actually goes to the little one. It's something I've been called to do, but I want to do it right.

Thank you!

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Email
« on: January 18, 2019, 01:04:16 pm »
So I, being the silly person that I am, deleted the email associated with my application to do the beginner class. Can someone please contact me, or give me an email to the person I should contact so that I can give them a different one? I don’t want to miss the notification.

Thank you!

[PUBLIC] Serving the World: Ma'at In Action / Trying Something New
« on: December 30, 2018, 07:44:58 am »
Em hotep!

Whilst studying, I was trying to think of ways to bring Anpu (He is the god I am currently researching in depth) into my life directly and use my own personal "gifts" to help others. I am a little apprehensive about it, but I have contacted a funerary home who may allow me to shadow some of the employees. If all goes well, there may be some opportunities for volunteer work after.

It got me curious, does anyone else do work in their "mundane" life that they attribute to their parent deities or deities they worship?

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Music

Em hotep!  ;D

If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize!

I was simply curious if anyone had any devotional playlists they would like to share. Music is something I treasure, and I am looking to expand my collection!

Also, I do not recall who had asked to see my prayer beads, but I have no forgotten! I am thinking of setting up mu own website and hosting my images there.

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Websites, Newsletters, Blogs?
« on: December 10, 2018, 09:40:49 am »
Good morning all!

So last night I was searching the web for various websites and other such things associated with KO and the Nisut. There seems to be a lot of... loose ends? Like websites that suddenly drop off, podcasts that don’t run anymore, and a change in blogs at random times. So I suppose I’m just wondering if there are any other active places where the Nisut and followers of KO can gather information.

Thank you!

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / 42 Negative Confessions
« on: December 08, 2018, 03:41:45 am »
Welcome to my first thread of many!

Now, being the history knowledge vacuum that I am, I know about the famed 42 negative confessions. I have seen people in our modern era take these aspects and "modernize" them into "affirmations". Is that something that Kemetic Orthodoxy members do? I'd like to use something like this in a meditation, and so if someone could provide me with information about this, I would greatly appreciate it.  ;D

[PUBLIC] Welcome! / Finally Here!
« on: December 07, 2018, 04:08:10 pm »
Hello all!

My name is Brea, but you can call me B or Tea if that's easier. Currently, I am waiting to receive word on my class application, so I thought I would join the forum to perhaps learn more in the meantime.

I feel like Kemeticism has been knocking on my spiritual door for years now, but only now in this part of my life am I ready to accept it. There is a lot to learn, but I feel as though I'm ready. I don't think I stumbled upon Kemetic Orthodoxy by accident, but only time will tell if it's my path. Either way, I am happy to be here and passionate about learning.

My hobbies include: reading, writing, picking up every pretty rock I see, drinking tea, and taking naps with my dog.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.  8)
