« on: February 26, 2021, 11:08:00 pm »
Zep Tepi Raffle Announcement!

The Fundraising Team is pleased to announce the Zep Tepi Raffle!!!!  All proceeds (except the costs incurred with shipping) to benefit the House of Netjer.

There will be several major prizes up for grabs as well as a general prize pool!

Tickets for the raffle will be $1 USD each and available to purchase from Saturday the 20th of March through to Saturday the 10th of April through the Helping Tawy website.  Each ticket will be able to be allocated towards either a major prize or to the general prize pool.

The drawing of the raffle will take place on Thursday the 15th of April live via Zoom (time TBA), further details on this will be advised closer to the date.

If you wish to donate items or services towards the raffle, we are currently accepting submissions until the 14th of March.  Please submit these via email to fundraisers@kemet.org and put Zep Tepi Raffle in the subject line.

We will need the following information with each submission:
    1) Name of the item or service.

    2) At least one picture or graphic of some sort that represents the item or service you wish to donate.

    3) The number of items or service(s) you wish to donate.  For example, if you are donating tarot divination, you would specify "two readings for one person".

    4) Description of the item or service.  For example, two readings on questions provided by the winner using a type of tarot spread, plus something about the experience of the tarot reader/provider. In other words, at least a few sentences on what is offered to enable the potential winner to get some idea of what they will receive.  If it is an item, please include details on whether it is used or new and how old it is if known.  If it is a physical object like a statue, please include simple dimensions if possible.

    5) The current retail value of the item if known.

    6) How long it will take the provider of the item or service to send the item or do the work.

    7) Whether or not the provider (or donor of the item/service) wishes to be anonymous.  In that case, we will need their email and name to be able to forward them the results, but they do not need to have that displayed.

If there is something you would like to donate and aren't sure please ask.  If you have any questions please email me at hezetra@kemet.org

[PUBLIC] Fundraising Announcements / Onion Day Fundraising Item
« on: February 21, 2021, 09:30:29 pm »
Em hotep, all!

In celebration of the Great Festival of Bast (IV Peret 1-5/March 3-7), Rev. Shefyt will be offering special Onion Day amulets in exchange for a donation to the House. These amulets will come in two varieties: red for protection, and green for renewing/refreshing the heart. You can see pictures of them here and here. Although they're a little too small for bracelets (unless you have very small hands), they can be carried, kept in the shrine, hung on a door knob or a car's gear shift, etc.

Because these amulets will be blessed by Bast of Nekhen Saut-sen Iryt Ra as part of the festival, they will be a limited item. All requests must be placed by midnight CST on March 6. If there are more people interested than amulets available, the recipients will be chosen by lottery.

To request an amulet:
- Contact Rev. Shefyt by PM on the forums, DM on Discord (Shefyt#7780), or email (revshefyt@kemet.org) to let her know which type of amulet you want.
- If you want both kinds, please let her know which one is your first choice. If there are any of the other kind left over after everyone who wanted one gets one, you might have a shot at your second choice.
- Don't send your donation until she confirms that you'll be receiving an amulet!
- After she sends confirmation and you make your donation, please forward to her a copy of your receipt. You'll also need to provide the name and address to which you'd like the amulet(s) to be sent.

The requested donation is US$20 per amulet, which will include the shipping cost. (If you're in a country with a poor exchange rate, please contact her privately to discuss an alternate amount.)

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Dua Bast!

[PUBLIC] Fundraising Announcements / Shomu Mailing List
« on: February 20, 2021, 12:50:03 am »
Em hotep, everyone!

I just wanted to bring attention to our Shomu mailing list!

This is a mailing list where you will receive daily calendar emails with materials from the Daybook as well as periodic hymns, prayers, and other tidbits provided by Hemet (AUS).

How it works: anyone who donates $5 or more to the House of Netjer in a given month will be added to the Shomu mailing list for the proceeding month and will receive daily emails for that 1 month period.  For example, if you donate $5 or more in February 2021 you will receive the Shomu emails for the entire month of March 2021.

If you have donated but currently are not receiving the Shomu mailing list emails, please email Rev. Tjesi at revebehrens@kemet.org

Thank you to all who donate and participate in the community, your ongoing support is much appreciated!

Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

Senebty,
Hezetra and the Fundraising Team

[PUBLIC] Fundraising Announcements / Fundraising Update for February 2021
« on: February 12, 2021, 03:35:33 am »
Em hotep everyone!

I'm Hezetra the new Fundraising Bak!

As of the 11th February 2021, total donations are $1,884.34.  Our goal is: $2,500.00

The following is a general breakdown of how we distribute funds that we receive through donations:

The first $500.00 goes for general House of Netjer and minor Tawy House expenses (see the financial page at http://kemet.org/finances for details).

The next $2,000.00 goes towards Hemet's salary. This satisfies the obligation to the Ministerial Services Contract, which supports her to work four 8 hour days per week and compensates her for her services. These include answering emails/forum posts, ritual work, pastoral counselling, divinations/RPD's, teaching, research, translations, and many other things.

Anything over and above the total of the first $2,500.00 will go into the Rollover Fund, which helps us to cover shortfalls on months when donations are below $2,500.00. The current Rollover Fund balance is $1,570.81 and we want to keep building this as much as possible.  Please click here for details about the Rollover Fund.

To continue supporting the House of Netjer, please try to donate via the PayPal Giving Fund here or through Zelle here . Regular PayPal donations will remove up to 10% of your donation through fees, but the PayPal Giving Fund and Zelle do not charge fees.  Additionally, making donations through Amazon's shopping app just got easier.  You can specify "House of Netjer" via Amazon Smile, in the app now. You can also do this from your desktop.

Lastly, we have one current fundraising drive, this being for renewal of the King's stipend, which will remain ongoing. For more information about this campaign, please click here . You can specify in your monthly donations or with a one time donation, that you wish your donation to be used for the King's stipend. This means we do not place it in a general fund, but it is only used for paying the salary of the King.

Thank you all for your continued and ongoing support! Dua Netjer!

Senebty,

Hezetra and the Fundraising Team!

[PUBLIC] Welcome! / Hello

Hi All,

I've recently signed up for the beginners class.  I've been looking around the forums for a while now and thought I'd introduce myself.  I'm from Australia, I've always been fascinated with ancient Egypt since I was a kid.
