[PUBLIC] Prayer Requests / Prayer for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
« on: March 03, 2013, 10:28:50 am »
Em hotep.

Queen Elizabeth II was hospitalized today with symptoms of gastroenteritis. While gastroenteritis is usually a non-life threatening condition, Queen Elizabeth II is an older person and it can cause complications. I am just asking that we all pray for a speedy recovery, and a long life for the Queen.

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Offerings for Nebt-het
« on: September 25, 2012, 09:51:13 pm »
Em hotep, everyone!

In my attempt to rekindle the flames of my relationship to Netjer, I realized I know shockingly little about my one and only Beloved, Nebt-het. The stuff that I do know was relayed to me by Imti years ago when I was going through the Beginner's class (thank you Imti!)

I get the distinct impression that she would like Lady Grey tea (which is one of my personal favorites) as I have been feeling very compelled to share a cup with Her. I also think I am going to be buying some Lavender incense for Her.

What are some of Her favorite offerings, in your experience?

[PUBLIC] Welcome! / Been Poking Around Again
« on: September 11, 2012, 12:40:58 am »
Hotep again, everyone!

For those of you who I don't know, howdy! My name is Paul, and I was previously a Shemsu here named Sekhmetnenek (Sa Sekhmet-Hethert, Mery Nebthet-Nit-Seshat). For those I do know, hello again old friends!

To cut a very long story somewhat shorter, I left because of some various and sundry spiritual muck. I began identifying as an Atheist, and researching science quite a bit. But recently, I have been changing a lot of things in my life and I have been feeling oddly pulled back by Sekhmet and Nebt-het again. So naturally I decided to lurk about here and maybe reconnect with some old friends while I weigh what will come of this. :)

Hopefully I can stay in touch better this time.

Em hotep everyone!

There are so many Names of Netjer, and each and every one of Them interacts with us differently. Some of these relationships are quick and expected, but some of them are absolutely a bolt from the blue. Are there Name(s) of Netjer that you have a relationship/connection with that you never expected would happen? And, if so, how did it come about (if you don't mind sharing)?

I, for one, never thought Nebt-het would be in my life. She popped in once during the Beginner's Class, said "Hello" and left. I was actually kind of scared, because of what I had erroneously read on the internet about Her. But after I got to know Her a little, through talking with Her children and beloveds, I came to love Her and really cherish Her presence. It was a huge shock when She showed up in my RPD, but I was absolutely thrilled.

[PUBLIC] Serving the World: Ma'at In Action / LGBT Support
« on: October 04, 2010, 11:07:09 pm »
Em hotep everyone

As most of you have heard, there has been a string of deaths in the LGBT community recently. Tyler Clementi, Seth Walsh, Asher Brown, Justin Aaberg, Raymond Chase, and Billy Lucas all committed suicide recently. This is a deeply saddening event, because their deaths are all related to anti-LGBT bullying/messages that they put up with on a consistent basis.

In response to these deaths, there has been an outpouring of grief, and an outpouring of support for gay teens everywhere. If you want to get involved, there are many ways you can.

On YouTube, there is a channel called the It Gets Better Project. You can make a video with a message of support to gay teens, and gay people everywhere. You can let them know that they are not alone. You can share your story, and share your success with them- I did

You can donate money to any number of organizations, such as the Human Rights Campaign or GLSEN or The Trevor Project. You can volunteer if you have a local gay community center, and you can always use your power to vote for LGBT friendly candidates in elections. You can write letters to your representatives in Congress, or even your local government, urging them to support legislation to crack down on bullying, and to support equal rights for LGBT citizens.

I would also like to state that I am here, if you need to talk. You can always message me on here, or by email, if you need someone to talk to. I care. I will listen, even if you don't think anyone will.

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Ma'ahes
« on: October 14, 2009, 02:17:50 am »
Em hotep everyone!

I was looking around on the Wepwawet Wiki just ten minutes ago, when I came across the page for Ma'ahes. When I said His Name out loud, I got this feeling like electricity running down my spine. Next thing you know, I started to smile and laugh to myself. I wonder if that was someway of getting my attention.

I was just wondering if anyone had any information/experiences with Ma'ahes.
