[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Want To Join
« on: April 13, 2013, 02:51:08 pm »
I have a question for all of you. I want to join HON and be apart of you wonderful people. I don't have a printer to print out the application. Can I just do a blank e-mail, write the questions and then the answer. Thanks for any help that you can give me.

Oh I've done the four days of contemplation and have made my choice.

Hay, guys.

I know that I haven't been on in what seems like forever but I decided to post this. I'm 33-years-old and being forced to still live at home with mother due to the fact that I have no money. We moved to Kentucky over nine months ago and I wasn't able to bring anything with me that was part of my religion. I'm finally getting back to my practice and guess what, my mother wants my statues gone.

I don't know what the Kemetic view of this is. But what I would love to know is are there any Kemetics out there that still live at home, either by force or still looking around, and what should I do. I did post this on Sharon's forum, the author that did 'Following the Sun' and she recommended a cabinet. I'm getting one next month and decorating it only enough to hide them.

Your opinion would be lovely.

[PUBLIC] All Things Egypt: Ancient & Modern History and Culture / Kyphi
« on: December 20, 2011, 11:47:28 am »
Em hotep,

I've been burning Kyphi for Amun-Ra using Kyphi incense that I bought from Egyptian Marketplace. But what I want to know, and I know that Kyphi is very much connected to Ancient Egypt (Kemet)is that do you guys make it or buy it. If you make it I would really like to know if it's possible for a recipe so that I can make it in large batches so that I don't have to buy it.

Thanks.

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Beliefnet Article
« on: December 18, 2011, 12:39:06 pm »
Em Hotep,

I don't know if I'm placing this in the right spot but Beliefnet.org had a great article on not only Kemetics but Hellenic and Asatru. Just thought you might be interested. It's a little off in some places but over all a good article. Hope you like and let me know what you think about the quality of the work. Oh and they mention you guys as well.

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Question
« on: December 18, 2011, 12:29:21 pm »
Em Hotep,

I want to advertise a site called Egyptian Marketplace and I want to do it within the rules of the forum. Can anyone help me on this as I think that many will like this site especially for those that can't find Aset with the throne on her head. Thanks.

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Where do you buy Statues?
« on: December 17, 2011, 07:08:13 pm »
Emhotep,

Where do you buy your shrine statues at? I won't go to the place that has bad customer service so that leaves 13moons, Azuregreen, and Egyptian Marketplace. What I want to know is where do you get your shrine statues and could you give me a link to your fav stores. Thanks so much for answering another annoying question from me.

Imhotep,

I was watching this program called Egypt: Engineering a Empire and this odd person said that the Ancient Egyptians didn't build the pyramids. I really stared at this statement and then I told him that they had. He replies back and said "Give me proof that they had and I'll think about it."

What is there to think about? Every freaking book out there that's written by anyone with more than half a brain will tell you that the Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids, which is why it's called 'The Pyramid Age.' I told him very politely, as I'm afraid that his school failed him, that every book that's been written over the past 100 years, and skeletal remains of workman, show proof that the Ancient Egyptians did build the pyramids.

Gods, I hope that he isn't one of those people that believe aliens built it. Groaning here. Would like to hear your input.

Imhotep, Everyone,

Have you seen some of the most horrible representations of the gods on the net? I have and their scary. I was on Abaxion a couple of months ago and they had this Seth statue that looked like something out of a horror film. And Sobek was even worse. Where do these jokers come from and why are they allowed to stay in business.

Okay I've shared my horror story does anyone have any experiences with horrible representations of the gods. Would love to hear from you.

Imhotep, Everyone,

I didn't find this anywhere so I don't know if I'm posting this in the right spot or not. The Kane Chronicles. I've just finished reading 'The Red Pyramid' (took me a year to read it because I'm lazy) and I thought the book was pretty good. What do you all think of it? I know the Hellenic are all mad about Percy Jackson and think that it's not worth reading 'if your serious about your practice.' So what do you all think. For or against. If I've posted this in the wrong spot then you can move it.

Thanks and have a great week.

I read on Yahoo news that the number 2 of Al-Qaida issued a video response to what's happening in Egypt. I personally fear what will happen if people like him get into power. Everything that makes Egypt what it is would be gone. We know that Al-Qaida and other groups don't approve of Egypts temples, monuments, statues, anything.

Lets pray that this never happens. These people are against democracy and against the Egyptain people. Here's the link.

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Restoring Sekhmet in My Life
« on: February 17, 2011, 05:19:23 pm »
Imhotep, Everyone,

Glad to be back, was going through HON withdrawal. I put Sekhmet sort on the back burner,  bad me, because I wanted to look more into my Celtic, Norse, and Native American background. My mind has not been my own since I lost my grandmother and I've finally gotten out of my slump. I've felt Sekhmet calling me back and I finally put her back on my altar. Any advice on reconnecting.

Em hotep!

I have a question for all you wonderful Kemetic people. What if you don't have a cabinet for deity? None of the statues that I have have a cabinet so what do I do? I was thinking about dressing it in cloth but I don't know if that's okay. Let me know, I'm dying to find out the answer.

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Offerings to Yinepu
« on: November 28, 2010, 05:28:28 pm »
Em Hotep!

I've checked out every thread about offerings and I didn't find anybody that talked about offerings to Yinepu. Someone said chocolate, which I did give, but does anyone know any other offering that I can give to Yinepu.
