[PUBLIC] Welcome! / New(ish)
« on: October 26, 2013, 05:11:15 pm »
Hello everyone.

I joined this board about 2 years ago, but life got in the way, as it does, and I hardly posted.

My name is Kay; I came to know Set a long time ago and he's the only one I have any exposure to now. Whatever I do I always find myself going back to him (it feels a bit like going home), and it rarely feels like he leaves.

I'm here really to be able to talk to others of similar mind. Nothing against the other netjeru but I am not looking to find parents or beloveds, I have Set, and me and him do pretty well. Sometimes though, it would just be nice to talk to others who don't think my beliefs a bit weird.

Hope to get to know you all better this time around,

Kay

[PUBLIC] Welcome! / New to the Board

Hello everyone,

I thought I would stop lurking and finally introduce myself.

I've been reading these forums as a reference for a while. I do not consider myself as Kemetic Orthodox, but I do respect the Netjeru and work with several.

Primarily, I work with Thoth, who has been around for a while, letting me get on with things then coming to help me when I finally show some kind of movement with something.
Isis however I have honoured since I was 16; I have had a portrait of her in my rooms since then and she still occupies a prime place on the wall in my bedroom.
Others of the Netjeru I honour daily are Sekhmet, Bast and Set. (I am aware that I use the greek forms of some of the deities names, but since they have never expressed displeasure, I'm comfortable sticking with them). I consider my relationship to them one of friendship.

My background is a big mish mash of things, but working with the egyptian deities always feels like 'coming home'.

Looking forward to getting to know you all,

Rapture
