[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Shrine Statues
« on: December 07, 2011, 04:29:55 am »
I have not yet gone through the beginner's course, and have been trying to search through older posts to try and answer my own question, alas, to no avail. Please forgive me if this is the incorrect place to post this!

As someone whose life has been influenced from a very early age by Aset, it saddens me every time I look at my altar and She is not there. I have been looking for some time for a statue for Her, but not just any ol' statue will do. It must be perfect!

From some of the information I have gleamed from older threads is that the more natural, the better. I know purity is a pretty big thing :)

So the question that needs answering is: are there any 'types' of statues that I should be steering away from?
For example: I have found a few that I think will be perfect. The material the seller says it is made from is cold cast resin.
I honestly have no idea what that is...

And I know that this really isn't a HUGE issue, and it's not getting in the way of my relationship with Her. I just want to honor Her in the way She would appreciate being honored.

So if anyone has any suggestions on what I should be looking for, I'm all ears. I truly can not wait to be able to look up and see Her watching over me.

Senebty everyone!

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Beginner's Course Question
« on: December 01, 2011, 03:55:10 am »
Hello there everyone!

I promise to do an introduction on here, but I get kind of nit picky about my own "About Me's".
Oh, and if this isn't the place for this question, I am really sorry!

So before the current beginner class started, I sent in my application and anxiously awaited to hear if I was accepted or not. I knew I would be going over seas for a month, but I was sure I would have internet access while there. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
So I guess something happened where the class was delayed for a short time, but on return to the U.S. and a working computer with internet, I was pleasantly shocked to find I had been accepted!

So I know it's too late to be in this current beginner's class, but I would absolutely LOVE to be in the next one!
Does that mean I need to re-apply and send in a new application?
Or do I email an admin or the Nisut (AUS) and let them know of my previous application?

Just not sure exactly what to do. And I really don't want to miss out on the next class! If anybody knows, just let me know, it would be much appreciated :)

Thanks for reading all this... Haha :)
Senebty everyone!
