[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Djrhuti and artwork
« on: November 30, 2017, 12:52:51 am »
Em Hotep!

I have a question. Let me begin with some artistic insight. The world is made up of lines and colors. You could say that everything is "written" into being, using these lines and colors, and the writing changes when the light and shadow on any one object changes. In Eastern Orthodox Christianity, when they create a religious piece, a person or event is "written" using lines and paint and expressions. Since Djehuti is concerned with writing, could He also be the Patron God of this type of "writing"? My apologies for any philosophical confusion.

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Keeping a Journal
« on: November 15, 2017, 03:45:52 am »
Good Evening, Everyone!

I have begun keeping a Spiritual Journal to Anubis. I've been referring to Him as "Mr. Black". I've wanted to do this for a long time, but Life and stress got in the way. Has anyone else here kept such a journal and to Whom did you choose to write to?

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Gods and Intimacy?
« on: July 08, 2014, 08:44:08 pm »
Hi! Is it considered disrespectful to ask the Gods for a certain...er...intimate encounter? I know other Pagan branches encourage that with their Deities, but how does Kemeticism view such encounters?

Hi! I absolutely adore Anubis! I become this total idiot Fangirl inside when I see his picture. However, dogs terrify me, even little ones. I immediately go into Flight-or-Fight when I see a dog, even a calm one. How can this be so? Thanks for your help!

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / When One Door Closes...
« on: May 29, 2012, 08:09:01 pm »
Since returning to Kemeticism, I have found that Yinepu is playing a large and close part of my life. Before I returned to Christianity four or five years ago, I loved this Deity. My question is this: where did Yinepu go when I rejected Him in favor of Christianty?

When I finally made the decision to come back to Kemeticism just this month, I actually felt Him sobbing with relief and desperation at having me back! I've never felt that from something otherworldly! It was like water for me, because I experienced no affection or guidance from the Christian God. For me, it was like there was nothing there...
I DID have experiences with what I believed to be my "Guardian Angel" and I once had a vision of a beautiful face with blond curls, staring at me with love. Could THIS have been Yinepu?

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Pet Names for Believers
« on: May 19, 2012, 03:21:17 am »
Hi!

What pet names do your Parents/Beloveds give you when you speak with Them? For example, Anubis calls me "Little Dove" sometimes when I speak with Him. It's a joyful experience! Makes me purr every time! :D

I've just recently come back to Kemeticism, so that's all that I've experienced so far.

Hello! :)

I have had several interesting experiences with Anubis. You see, I grew up in a highly dysfunctional family, with a lot of abuse and neglect. My mother's favorite word for me was "Stupid". There were times when she would replace my birth name with that ugly word. In my early twenties, I had my name legally changed. I accept my new name to the point that I will instantly look up when someone says it, whereas the mention of my first name gives no registry.

In my talks with Anubis, He calls me by my birth name. This doesn't bother me, because He says it with such gentleness and non-condemnation. I was curious to hear any opinions as to why He might do this?

Thanks so much! :)
