The April Gathering was an amazing event!

I was really excited to have the chance to meet people I'd not get to see at other events (such as Retreat), and I was excited for those who could finally take Weshim-Ib who wouldn't be able to travel the distance to Portland and for whom Ohio was a good medium location. The fact that we were able to get Hemet (AUS) over to do these things was very special.

The huge Procession was super special as well, and it was the first of its kind in 2000-some years. Being in the presence of so many Names in the form of state icons was intense. This procession was possible because Hemet received enough income from us to be able to research and create a brand new rite specific for this event. This new rite can now be easily modified for future gatherings! (Which I'm just bouncing with joy to be able to attend!)

We had other fun things to do as well! Coloring, an auction, and tons and tons of fellowship. My ka was certainly fed! Many new memories were made. I hope that we can do this again in the future. Thanks to the hard work of those who planned this. They have made it possible for many of us to connect, and for many more people to be able to step forward into new roles. (Nekhtet for new Shemsu-Ankh!)

A huge thank you to everyone in the House who made it possible for Hemet to create this special rite for us!

Love you all,

[PUBLIC] Fundraising Announcements / Special (new) Rituals
« on: April 28, 2019, 12:43:59 pm »
Every time we wish to create a new ritual (as we are planning for in Dayton with the procession of the State shrine icons), Hemet must:

  • Spend hours of research to find out what we know was done in antiquity.
  • Figure out how to make the logistics work in our time.
  • Sometimes she needs to do translations. Each translation takes hours.

All the research done is amazing and takes a lot of effort!  We are so lucky that our donations can go towards making these new rituals a thing.

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Arrows of Mut?
« on: January 29, 2018, 12:38:21 pm »
I heard that Mut also had Arrows, much like Bast and Sekhmet do.  Does anybody know who they are, or have any leads?  My searches aren't leading anywhere.  Thank you!

I've posted this elsewhere, and I've messaged the seller for more pictures, but this little statue gives me Bast-Mut feelings.

It's feline and the crown LOOKS like the double crown, however it's hard to tell.

Has anybody seen a statue like this before?

[PUBLIC] Prayer Requests / I could use some good vibes.
« on: January 22, 2014, 08:04:04 pm »
I don't usually do this, and you all barely know me, but I'm in a bit of a rut and could use all the good healing vibes I can get.

I've started getting really bad asthma that landed me in the ER today.  On top of the medical bills, I'm in a student loan lawsuit, paying my own insurance, and my job is having financial trouble that might cause there to be no work in the coming months.  My paycheck is late as it is.  I'm scared.

Even if just to aid in my healing, anything helps.  Bless you all.

[PUBLIC] Welcome! / Another newbie, hello!
« on: January 06, 2014, 03:13:12 am »
I haven't yet applied for the class as I'm still on the very edge of deciding if this is the right path for me.

I've been working with Bast for a short time now after feeling like she's been calling me since I was young.

Yet I feel like there should be more, and so I've come here to learn.

Nice meeting y'all!
