[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Modern animal associations?
« on: October 13, 2014, 10:42:57 am »
Em hotep all!

I've been thinking about this for a while. While most of us are aware of the animal associations with the various Netjeru, many of these animals are rather specific to an area that the majority of us don't live in. Even if we saw them at a zoo or because we went to the region, they are not local to us. Surely, though, Netjer can come across in animals more regional to us.

My question is, do you all have maybe some more local animals to you that you associate with specific Netjeru? An example, for me whenever I see a bald eagle-which is very local to Kentucky-I think of Heru-wer. Just a thought and maybe a good way to see Netjer more in our daily lives <3

Senebty,
Kefet

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Gods that make your head hurt

Because They sooo need Their own thread ;) So let's hear about Them! Gods Who, do to either various sycrenizations or properties, cause your brain to implode from thinking to hard about Them!

And for newbies, this is a great place to bring up certain things that have been making your head hurt when it comes to Netjer that perhaps us older folks can help with!

Personally, I have Ptah-Sokar-Wesir, whom I'm sure Taysat has plenty to say about as well, so I'll step back and watch for now :)
