[PRIVATE] Q&A / Senut questions
« on: September 01, 2020, 04:13:08 am »
Em hotep! Lesson 3 and the chats were very informative and have answered most of my questions about Senut, I just had a couple left that I either forgot earlier, or only thought about recently.

Out of curiosity... I have gotten familiar with the order of the fourfold libation by now, and I was wondering if there's a special meaning in having them in that order?

About the offering bowls, in the chats it was sometimes mentioned as "cup or bowl", but in the pdf it's always "bowl", so I was wondering if that's the preferred type of container for offerings?

And this one is not a question, but there was something in the lesson 3 pdf that was throwing me off:
How do I make a shrine? What do I put in it?
All Senut shrines require three basic items: a bowl for dry offerings, a bowl for liquid offerings, and a light (a lamp or candle).

That really should say we need three bowls: in addition to dry and liquid offerings, there's also the fourfold libation which needs its own bowl/cup. I didn't pick up on that until Rev Tanebet mentioned it in the last chat. (A big thank you for that; I didn't even realize I was confused about this until after it was pointed out.) In hindsight, it's obvious (libations happen first, then offerings needs their own bowls obviously), but as someone who's new to this, I completely missed that. At first I thought the libations go in the liquid offering bowl, because of the way the quote above says that the two bowls are all you need besides the light. So I think it might be a good idea to add "and a bowl for libations" to the pdf's list of things that all Senut shrines require, since that's definitely a necessary item, and someone who's new could miss that and not even realize it.

[PRIVATE] Q&A / Nebt-Het Vigil
« on: August 04, 2020, 04:37:20 pm »
I have an alarm set to remind me about Kissing the Face of Ra, but I am unsure about the Nebt-Het Vigil before that.

I'm interested, but I've been sleeping badly the past few weeks so I want to get to sleep early tonight. Assuming I'm up early enough, I was wondering if it's worth coming to just the last hour of the vigil?

[PRIVATE] Q&A / A question about questions
« on: July 29, 2020, 05:29:13 pm »
"If you have any questions, ask any priest or your liaisons."
Okay, I know who to ask, but I'm not certain where to contact them. Should I email a priest or liaison directly, post question on here, or what's the best place to ask questions?
