[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Reality Check?
« on: September 16, 2019, 12:26:59 pm »
How does one, in the House of Netjer, reconcile that even the gods do not always do (follow) ma'at?  It seems like there is a lot of excusing the gods, and what is (if only could) be bad behavior.  I mean, seriously, why would Sekhmet have to be pacified, if her rages were ma'at?  Why would Set's rages have to be calmed and his sexual (mis)adventures be the source of all sorts of - talk, at the very least.  Heck, even Ma'at herself was called before the gods due to some misdeed!  I think the gods, like humans,  have a dark side - and I would say that excusing it or denying it is a dangerous thing.

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Ma'at in the mythos...

Anyone else notice that as important as Ma'at is to everything, there are few stories/legends featuring her?  I only heard of one, where she is called before the gods due to a misdeed...

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / 24

Does the number 24 have any significance?  Thank you ahead of time.

Has anyone ever received any messages from the gods regard Dimitri and Christine Favard-Meeks book, Daily Life of the Egyptian Gods?  I am sorry, I do love Set and the gods dearly, but... this book, while full of information,  is not hope inspiring.  What are your thoughts on the book?  I find this interesting.

Are there any connections between HetHert and the moon?

[PUBLIC] Prayer Requests / Stepfather Died Today...
« on: November 11, 2017, 06:45:14 pm »
Em Hotep,

For those of you who would care to remember him, my stepfather,  Lloyd Michaels, passed away this morning.

He was a good man, as well as a Veteran (coincidence that today is Veteran's Day); despite what some may think of me - this man is deserving of good thoughts.

Thank you.  If you would be so kind, prayers for the family would be appreciated as well.

[PUBLIC] Prayer Requests / Please help...

I'm embarrassed and ashamed to say it, but I've developed a gambling addiction.   I pay my bills, but a lot of money has gone towards slots and lottery tickets.  Now, I have sought professional help, signed the documents to make it illegal to go into a casino, and have attended some GA (gamblers' anonymous) meetings.  I could use the Netjeru and Akhu to bless me and help me beat this sad state of affairs I've gotten into...  Thank you.   (Hotep and Senebty, too!)

I would think Khonsu and Djehuty would be good advocates for those who like to dabble in betting and games of chance.

Who do you think would be good for those needing assistance with gambling addiction?

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Little Known Deities...

Anyone speak with deities who are not spoken about much here (in Kemetic Orthodoxy) or who are considered "not so popular"?

[PUBLIC] Prayer Requests / Me in a Nutshell...
« on: November 19, 2015, 04:26:33 pm »
I am just typing this, asking for well wishes, prayers and such for a few things that are going on in my life right now.  If anyone has any advice to give, that's wonderful, too...

First of all, I started a new job.  It's a full time job, and I would really like to keep it.

The thing is, I have to prove myself good at selling.  I need to sell memberships; and while my numbers have been decent as of the past two months, I need to keep it up, and that's looking hard.  After memberships, I am going to be looked at to sell insurance plans (once I become licensed.)  I don't mind doing this, but...  I never considered myself good at selling.  I am one who believes that the products should speak for themselves; and, if people are interested, they'll purchase it.  So, I have this...

Second of all, I have pneumonia.  I am feeling better, and trying to work, but it's been tough the past week.  The week before, I took off due to feeling absolutely rotten.  So...  I've lost two weeks to the sickness.  What's worse, I am counting on the new job!  The time I spent being sick has not made a good impression when it comes to being considered a dependable employee.  Furthermore, the xrays taken of my lungs show some sort of growth (a nodule) in my lungs.  I have to get a C-Scan of that to see what is actually going on in there.

So I'm battling two major things at once.  Both effect me (and my future) quite a lot!

Thank you everyone ahead of time.  I will definitely keep all who care in the know about what's going on and how I'm doing.  I also pray and wish, and of course work as hard as I can, that what is best is done (but, of course, I hope my best is I get to keep the job and am in good health!)

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Heru-Sa-Aset as Red Cloak

Em hotep,

Does anyone have more information on this?

Has any of the Heru-sa-Aset children ever asked Heru about this title?

Thank you.

On the part of both men and gods.

Vietnamese Javan rhino is now officially extinct as of October 25, 2011.

Luckily, there are still some Javan rhinos left in Indonesia.

That is Neb Geb's physical form.  That is Earth, our home, inside this vast and spectacular universe...  And that's only the mundane!!!

Posted for the fact I find this one picture above all to be at least one of the most breath-taking photographs I've ever seen.

In case the above link doesn't work...
