[PUBLIC] Prayer Requests / Prayer for Virtual Completion
« on: October 10, 2021, 02:43:26 am »
Hotep,

It has been a long while since I have discussed or spoken anything on the forums, though that hasn't made me lose my essence.

Quite the opposite. Since September I've been working on a virtual, roamable hall and included shrine. While my request isn't for anything as drastic as a lost in kin, it is for those who wish to have a spot where they cannot afford one elsewhere. I ask now with guidance from Thoth that I may be successful in this endeavor and that variables such as life or burn out may not interfere with an opportunity for those in a similar situation as I.

AUS,
- Xulff

It is really fun how often Medjed shows up in Japanese things! There’s so many cute depictions of Him! Which I say with the utmost respect, because He’s very much not cutesy LOL

But yea, agreed here again with Xulf. It is just a coincidence. Nothing more. If you look for correlations in things, you’ll be able to find them, but that doesn’t mean that they’re intended to be there. It’s just a funny match up.

I definitely agree, and it's charming to see how Medjed is often seen in other cultures aswell. For how well.. not cutesy he is.. It still is very nice to see and observe the changes, details, and all the jazz in forms of culture or artwork. ^^

And also, Correlation =/= Causation, good note to remember especially when researching. I've learnt that many times ^^"

I have this translation of the Papyrus of Ani, and I have started to have dreams about Ra on his barks, Osiris, Seth, and other deities mentioned in the Book of the Dead.

Usually when the mind picks up on a detail that could be beneficial, it will catalog it and recognize it for later usage. I theorize that perhaps upon viewing the Papyrus of Ani and observing the contents in them, that there could be a usage for them within your dreams which would better connect you to Netjer or further enhance your travels towards ma'at.

Like Amunraembia mentioned, writing down the contents of what you remember and singling out objects or scenarios in your dreams is also very beneficial to building a continuity between them for future reference.

Whatever the case may be, I wish you the best of luck in finding them out!

Senebty,
Xulf

The name of the game is Among Us, right? In this part of the text it says, "I know the name of that smiter among them". It sounds strange about Medjed and the term "among them" in spell 17 of the book of the dead.

I would consider this a coincidence still, though definitely a fun one at that. Context also matters on what is implied in the verse compared to what is presented within the game.

Em hotep, Amunraembia ^^

Thank you so much for the listed materials below in your message! Doing a quick skim over them shows that they're just the thing I need to light my lanterns and head down the path ahead that is the progression towards ma'at.

I plan to clear out some room in my computer desk's cubbies above my monitor to prepare and designate room for a shrine. With other members in an already crowded house, I believe it's the best place to begin.

I'll keep posted with updates!
Thank you,
- Xulf

p.s. I am still getting use to terms, so I heavily apologize if there are any errors ^^"

[PUBLIC] Welcome! / Introduction of a Newbie Far Far Away!

Hello!

My name is Xulf and I've been looking into Kemetism for around two weeks now; having only looked further into it from personal spiritual meditations of my own. I have always done spiritual meditations to help ease myself, invoking guidance from Yinepu and Djehuty through the typical struggles of younger life such as with exams or dealing with grievances. However it is now that with the new season and a rather brighter sun on the coast here that I begin my journey into studying and making sense of the guides and practices which have helped me before.

Unfortunately due to my age and situation, I am unable to sign up for beginner courses, so any form of virtual media such as PDFs or Videos are highly appreciated! I've already looked into the Book Recommendation Selection and have selected a few, going to see if the Library has them or can get them in.

Thank you for welcoming me, and I look forward to the road laid up ahead by my guidances and Netjer.
