you can use the prayers whenever you want to prepare the Natron mix for purifying something

here some tricks and tips

1. the less water you use, the shorter the time it takes to bake your natron. I just use enough water to cover the dry parts completely and make it easy to stir and dissolve them.
2. spread it thin on your baking sheet, it reduces the baking time
3. check regularly, the colour can go from white as snow to burnt quite quickly
4. my thumb rule: when the mix looks like an icy crust it is mostly ready (break the crust to see how much water is left)
5, making Natron is easy....don't be afraid!
6. Now go and make your own natron  :-)

[PRIVATE] Q&A / Re: Specific gods for a dedication

that would be a little bit too specific if this is a daily routine.

Why not offer it to Netjer as a whole? That way you are offering it to all Names

[PRIVATE] Q&A / Re: 10 grains of Natron
« on: August 17, 2020, 01:02:22 pm »
Em Hotep Bear,

you would use way too much natron if you used 10 large chuncks of natron.
Remember, it is mostly salt. it has a dehydrating effect on the skin.
And washing your mouth with basically salt-water is not that great either.
if you insist you could totally count 10 grains of natron, but as said before, it isn't necessary  :-)

many people use a mortar to break down their natron bits, some even create natron powder, which is fine.

[PRIVATE] Q&A / Re: Pronunciations
« on: August 14, 2020, 03:18:43 pm »
That's really between you and Him, Kes.
There is no official stance on which version to use.
Most people here used the Greek versions first.
And if tthe Netjeru thought that this is the wrong pronounciation none of us would be here

[PRIVATE] Q&A / Re: Divination techniques?
« on: August 11, 2020, 10:45:03 pm »
Em Hotep Kiara,

you can use any method you want.
If you get good results with tarot use tarot.
If you get good results with runes, use runes
What works that works

[PRIVATE] Q&A / Re: Spending time with the Netjer

here a little advise from me
* don't compare yourself with others. Just because you are not making the same experiences as someone else it doesn't mean that you have no or a bad godphone. You only have a different godphone.
* different methods work for different people
* be open - don't expect that a specific form of communication will happen. Signs could be everywhere. In nature, in a song, a quote you hear, ....
* Deities are different, just like humans, and not all of them are very vocal or chatting. Sometimes they communicate e.g. more via emotions

[PRIVATE] Q&A / Re: Nebt-Het Vigil
« on: August 04, 2020, 04:45:18 pm »
Em hotep Kes,

the Vigil is not a ritual but mostly fellowship chat.
People will join at various times.
The rituals you definitely don't want to miss are the Wep Ronpet rituals after the vigil

[PRIVATE] Q&A / Re: Colors for Netjer?
« on: August 03, 2020, 11:59:17 am »
Em Hotep

whenever I make charms for the Netjeru I let them tell me which colours to use.
Colours might depend on purpose or the specific form of a Name I want to address.

Symbol & Magic in Egyptian Art by Wilkison is a good point to start when you want to know more about Ancient Egyptians symbols and the use of colour
