Set seems to really like the heavy stuff, like anything by Nile and Emperor and Dimmu Borgir and Týr among others.......He likes Fear Factory alot too, as does Mafdet.

I think „Heysátan", „Halfsól" and „Von" by Sigur Rós are Bast-y in a way. They just create a mental image for me of a lioness just basking out in the midday sun, rolling about and enjoying the time they have to relax and know how awesome it is to be a lioness basking out in sunlight before going out with her sisters to bring home some fresh kill.......

I am a firm believer of the gods talking through people.

^^^^ QFT ^^^^^

I too am a firm believer in this and have even had some people tell me that they've met Mama Mafdet through me and Ive met various Gods through people.

I are curious cheetah, I can't wait to see responses to this!

For myself, I've gotten to know Aset through chatting with some of Her children, albeit online, but, through Her children She has come off to me as having a wicked sense of humour, protective, on point, and while Aset Herself can be firm and unrelenting at times, Her children have made it tonnes easier for me to approach Her.

I think when people think of this daughter of Mafdet they see a laughing cheetah *snicker*. :P

I worship them all but honestly massive priority goes to Mama Mafdet then Bast and Sekhmet...

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Re: Do you have an Egyptian Tatoo?

*awkwardly jumping into thread*

Nei, none of my tats are Kemetic in nature, as a matter of fact most of my tattoos are Ásatrúar in nature. For a time I had thought of getting a Kemetic tat, but, ultimately, with deep contemplation, I decided against this.
But, I've seen fólks with some really neat Kemetic tats. If I can remember the name of the book (the last name of the fellow who wrote it was Rush, that is all I can remember off of the top of my head) I'll post it, but, this fellow wrote this book about tattoo and its spiritual relevance and things, and for some of the shots in the book he was a model and this guy is covered almost head to toe in Kemetic tats (I think he stated in one of his books that he's a Kemetic Reconstructionist of one order or another, I'm scatterbrained like mad right now)...but now I'm rambling...there was apoint in there somewhere, I might remember it too eventually.

thought i'd revive an old thread because of some things i've found recently...

not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere before, but i've had *very* good results offering Sekhmet sun-dried tomatoes, or any meal using them as an ingredient!

i tried offering Her red wine recently, though, and maybe it wasn't the really the right kind (it was a rose`) but the message i got was that next time, She'd rather have beer!

I've actually had much success offering her a good Beaujolais, actually. Maybe that is just me but...yeppers. In my experience she really likes the stuff!
