I just got a mental picture of Heru-Wer dressed like an old school gangster in a pinstripe suit and fedora.

This looks interesting!

1) What is the most interesting experience with Yinepu? Dad has given me lots of interesting moments, but the most interesting- and probably the most profound- was when I found out I was being forced to separate from the Navy.  I wanted to retire- do my 20, then get out and be a civilian, have a normal job, dye my hair whatever color I wanted, etc.  But that didn't happen.  And it really upset me for a while.  Then, one night, while I was laying in my rack listening to my iPod (this was while I was on deployment) I heard Him speak to me.

"I know you're upset, daughter of mine, but this is the Path I had always meant for you.  You have things you need to do, things I want and need for you to do, and you can't do them when the Navy takes up so much of your time.  Consider this your opened way."

Talk about a wake up call.

2) How do they communicate with you? (Through emotions, "coincidences," voices, etc )  Dad talks to me.  If He wants something, He says so.  Occasionally I'll get feelings, but usually, He lets me know exactly what He's thinking.

3) If syncretized, does one Name seem stronger or more influential than the other? If aspected, do you ever get any impressions/feelings from the "flip-side" of this Netjer? Dad is technically Yinepu-Wepwawet, but I don't get much of Wepwawet from Him.  He's always been my playful, fun-loving but occasionally serious Dad.

4) Have you ever personally witnessed or experienced this Netjeru interacting with another Netjeru? YUS.

me: I dunno about this...
Dad: Just do it.
me: but-
Dad: -looks at Sekhmet- Smack her for me, will ya?
Sekhmet: -grrrr-
me: Right!  Moving on!

Yes.  This happens more frequently than I care to admit.

5) How does Yinepu influence your life? (Words to motivate you, things "fall into place," a swift kick in the rear when you need it, etc)  Things have been nicely falling into place since Dad told me that this was the Path I was meant for.  I got a great paying job waiting for me when I separate, I've got an apartment lined up in Orange County so I can move up there in July, my husband just had an interview with Blizzard Entertainment yesterday, which I hope gets him a job there... yes, things have been quite smooth.  Sure, there are the motivational words.  But things are progressing nicely in my life right now, and I am thankful to Him everyday for it.

Em hotep!

Most days, its Dad.  I feel Him around almost all the time- He likes watching people, I think, especially when we're going about our daily lives.  He loves watching me play games.  However, Sekhmet is also around me frequently- usually prodding me to get something done.  Khnum hangs around when I'm drawing, which isn't often anymore (something I need to work on.)  Djehuty likes to read over my shoulder.  And every time I walk near Amun's shrine space, I catch His presence (which is often, as my shrine is currently in my bedroom because I have no room for it elsewhere.)

Em hotep, Satsenu!  -henu-

I've found pictures are great- either drawn or printed out and glued to some cardstock.  If you've got the money, though, Nicolas (Shadow of the Sphinx at Etsy) makes these adorable little votive statues.  They're no more than a couple of inches tall, and they're so precious!  I have a couple, a Yinepu and a Sekhmet (Meket had them made and sent to me while I was on deployment) and they worked wonderfully!

I get 'my daughter' from Yinepu, followed closely by a sensation of being claimed.  Sekhmet, Bast-Mut, and Khnum rarely call me anything but Niti.

I use Spiritual Sky, and I find that Jasmine, African violet, and Om are particularly well received.

Update to my shrine!

I now have this lovely new Bast-Mut statue courtesy of Meket (by way of Nicolas over at Shadow of the Sphinx on Etsy!)

  Check It out!

And the whole shrine set up!

Hotep, Whale!

As a fairly older member of KO (My 7th Diviniversary is coming up!) I can say this: I am not a huge stickler for ritual.  Its great when I'm with others of the House, but when I'm alone, its just me and Dad and the Beloveds.  Nothing special.  I do perform Senut every once in a while, and I can't really say I have anything resembling a normal shrine, but I have what works for me.  My shrine time is usually brief- an offering of cool water, a few words, and a stick of incense to freshen up the place- and that, until recently, seemed to be enough for my Crew.  I am also undergoing some pretty significant lifestyle changes soon, so I am being prodded for more time with Them, but I have never been asked to give anything that was beyond me.  Its great to see you are comfortable enough to share your concerns with us!  But not everyone here is about ritual.  Do what makes you happy, and the Names will be pleased.  :)  That's what I do!

Each one of the Names in my lineup has a necklace, which I wear when I want to feel close to that particular Name, or when I'm doing something that They like.

MERITSEKHMET,

I ask that you please stop treating us like we're children around here.  There are clearly differences in how we do things and how you do things- and that's fine!  But this place is a place of discussion and equality.  Let's all keep it that way, hm?
