Nothing's there. It says it's off limits to me.

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Prayer books?
« on: January 13, 2020, 12:24:49 pm »
Are any of you writing or using prayer books (not Rev. Siuda's book, I mean ones you're writing yourselves)?
I'm wanting to work on one, but I'm unsure where to start, so I thought I'd ask here for inspiration.

It's the full moon here. Are you doing anything to mark it or celebrate it?
Care to share?

Both.

I can get you the links for clothing that is light but blocks UV, if that would help. My boyfriend burns so easily and works outside so he has special pants and shirts that he wears while working that specifically block the rays.

Yes please!!

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Headcoverings and light clothing
« on: May 11, 2019, 04:18:55 pm »
Do any men wear headcoverings? Examples, please?

Also, I'm looking for light clothing to wear over things as a covering to my ankles and wrists. This is actually related to a reaction to sunlight, but I'd also like to see if I can incorporate this into my practice as well. Suggestions (or even links -- feel free to message me if need be!) please?

Does anyone have links to the hymns?

[PUBLIC] Prayer Requests / Family member in hospital
« on: April 08, 2019, 10:45:09 am »
Found out today a family member fell and is in the hospital. Please pray for healing and a safe recovery.

To update everyone: they are back home safely! There was some worry of internal bleeding, but they seem to be in the clear now.

Thank you!

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Services, holidays and ritual
« on: April 07, 2019, 01:57:47 pm »
I'm still learning, and very new. I'm unsure about committing to the beginner class at this time. I would still like to learn more before taking that step.
I'm looking for information I can easily access (so, free) about the holidays, their rituals, and how orthodox services are practiced, especially on a daily basis. I feel like I need to be able to commit to doing these in some part, before committing to the class, and taking the next step toward joining.

It's my chosen name. Just as important as any other name or title here.
I don't mean to ruffle feathers -- it's just disheartening, that's all. We take time for the names given here... Why not my chosen? Does that make sense?

Considering the intricacies of most of the names here, it just made sense that people would take the extra time. That's all.
How many of the terms and phrases used are also auto-corrected?

Hi all!
I'm Lukas, a 33 year old transmasculine person. I actually studied some of Egyptian deities and what I could find before. I wasn't ready for this then, I think, but I'm glad I was able to find it now. Currently, I find influence from Ra, and maybe a few others, though Ra is my focus for now.

I'm still learning about my daily rituals. I'm very curious to learn about the holidays, and how they're celebrated, as well as the other ritualistic aspects (clothes, head coverings, rites, etc) that are used.
