been distracted reading the Hunger Games! (which is awesome! :D )

Oh my goodness... I lost an entire day and a half of my life reading that first book. So immensely good! I could not put it down. :)

Forgot to mention my msn contact: (yes, I do like Pokémon)

Oh my goodness... I am a Pokemon fan as well! xD
But only the original "Old-School" ones! Gengar is a good one. :)

Welcome, Harakhte. ^_^

One of my very close friends (and Tarot teacher) once told me something about dreams that always stuck with me.

It's not always about the *stuff* in your dreams, it's about how you *feel* in the dream!

So, instead of saying, "Hey, there was a polka dotted whale in my dream, what do whales with polka dots mean?" - Focus on how that whale made you FEEL. Were you angry with it? Did it bring you comfort?

I think this is can be a very important component to successful dream interpretation. Hope it helps! :3

Hotep Angel!

I live in Washington, so we are kind of neighbors? I'm also in the Beginner's Class currently! Have you checked out the Facebook group one of the other Beginners created for the 35th class?

Anywho, nice to meet you, and hopefully we can get to chat more soon!

Those are both ones I would recommend. And they don't cost a thing!

Wow, thank you for all the responses everyone!

I'm so very happy I found the HoN, everyone here is absolutely wonderful!

Avonell, thank you for the link. :)

After reading all your posts, I think that I am a bit more comfortable if I had to get one that is resin. For now, my plan will to be get an icon that fits the best for me and Her, and then hopefully in the future I may come across something even better (ie: an AGI!).
Another plus: the places online where I have seen a few that look perfect, they do accept returns. That way, if the icon gets here and it just wont work, at least I can always try again :)

But before any decisions are made, She and I will surely be having a nice chat! ^_^

Senebty, and thanks again everyone,

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Shrine Statues
« on: December 07, 2011, 04:29:55 am »
I have not yet gone through the beginner's course, and have been trying to search through older posts to try and answer my own question, alas, to no avail. Please forgive me if this is the incorrect place to post this!

As someone whose life has been influenced from a very early age by Aset, it saddens me every time I look at my altar and She is not there. I have been looking for some time for a statue for Her, but not just any ol' statue will do. It must be perfect!

From some of the information I have gleamed from older threads is that the more natural, the better. I know purity is a pretty big thing :)

So the question that needs answering is: are there any 'types' of statues that I should be steering away from?
For example: I have found a few that I think will be perfect. The material the seller says it is made from is cold cast resin.
I honestly have no idea what that is...

And I know that this really isn't a HUGE issue, and it's not getting in the way of my relationship with Her. I just want to honor Her in the way She would appreciate being honored.

So if anyone has any suggestions on what I should be looking for, I'm all ears. I truly can not wait to be able to look up and see Her watching over me.

Senebty everyone!
