I am a devotee of Hekate who works with her consistantly since she called me to service BUT I also am devoted to my kemetic names as well (which I worked with before I worked with Hekate). Personally Hekate has never told me that I am only to work with her and I know many others personally who work with Hekate as well as Egyptian Netjers without a problem. Feel free to contact me privately if you want to chat but I personally feel it can work. Senebty 9

I've reread this entire thread because truthfully I was confused as to why so many people have an aversion to Aset (I know I'm biased as I'm an Aset kid but I've never had that) and I really wanted to understand where some of you were coming from so I can see it from your point of view. I feel Naisenu hit the nail on the head when she said "....but I'm really intimidated by Aset. It seems like she has really high standards, and I never feel like I can live up to them." I have always felt personally that A'set does have high standards and she's got a tough love kind of vibe about her and a no nonsence attitude. As long as you do your best and you approach her with respect I feel that, that is all she requires. Just my 2c Senebty Setjat 10

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Re: What do you wear?« on: June 23, 2009, 08:06:27 pm »

When I am at work I wear semiprecious stone necklaces I have made and dedicated to my Names because they look like everyday jewellery and I dont want to draw attention to myself and invite religious inquiry. On my down time I wear a myriad of Egyptian and Greek jewellery but they arent prodominately displayed as I got over pagans and new agers touching my pendants (especially my A'set or Hekate pendants) without permission. I also wear my Gods of the Year bracelets everyday as each of them looks like everyday jewellery even though they have special significance for me. 12

Beautiful naos - did you carve the glyphs in or burn them in?

[PUBLIC] FAQ: RPD (Rite of Parent Divination) / Re: Parent/Beloved Shrine« on: October 16, 2008, 10:35:03 pm »
It depends on your situation ie space, finances etc but as a tip I would ask your dad as he will tell you whether he wants to share a shrine space with your beloveds or not.
Personallly I have a naos type shrine which has two levels as that is what mum wanted. I have parent on the top shelf and all my beloveds share the space on the bottom shelf.
