I think all of the Gods and Goddesses grant unconditional love to their devotees.  if you honor Them, They will grant you blessings and aid.

For self love, I would go to the goddesses of love: Aset, Hethert, Mut or Bast.

For wealth, I'd look to prosperity deities: Hethert and Aset as Ladies of Prosperity.  Bast, Bes and Taweret can bring protection and wealth to the household.

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Re: What's your favorite Holiday?
« on: June 21, 2020, 01:18:53 am »
I love Aset Luminous since Aset is my Mother.  I love this festival.  I can't put into words why.  Birthday of Aset, with the Beautiful Throne, Thrice Great Goddess.  I love that this is a 19 day festival for Aset.

I love the Procession of Nebet Het (6 days).  It's a part of the larger Khnum-Ra Procession.  Nebet Het doesn't have enough holidays so I celebrate this for Her.

Return of the Wandering Eye Goddess.  I love the Eye of Ra festivals.  So many Goddesses to honor!  I love that this is a 16 day festival.  A goddess to honor each day!

Opet is important to me because of Mut, Sekhmet-Mut and Bast-Mut.

And the 10 day festival of the Birthday of Shu and Tefnut.

And any festival for Wepwawet.

There have been a few other posts describing aspects and the one that lead me into this spiral of needing to know was the conversation about Mehet Weret. Is it possible that I am experiencing Aset as a part of Mehet Weret or something else entirely?

Mehet Weret can be an aspect of Aset.  There is even a syncretism recorded called Aset-Mehet Weret in the form of a cow.  So yes, you could be receiving Aset as the Celestial Cow.

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Re: Weekly Purification Rituals?

I hope this is okay.  This poem came to me when I read your (Sobekemiti's) post.

In Every Sunbeam
by TahekerutAset

Sobek of the Nile is the purification god
Sobek of the Waters of the Nun
Light of the sun dispels darkness
The Light of Sobek and Ra dispels darkness
Ask for this light
Ask for this water to purify you
of grief, of rage, of fear
of helplessness, of powerlessness
Bring to yourselves strength, devotion, kindness
Bring to yourselves health, love and self-care
Be kind to yourselves in this darkness
Be kind to others
Know that We are with you in your grief and rage
Know that We are with you in your sorrow and fear
Know that We are with you
We walk with you through this
Now and forever
So says Aset, Mistress of Light
Lady of Life
I am in every sunbeam
in every starlight
in every candleflame
I am in every droplet of water
in every river, every stream
in every rainstorm
in all water in your homes
So listen now
Use this power
of light, of water
and purify yourselves
cleanse yourselves
in baths
in showers with buckets to pour over yourselves
Or use sacred soap
Or Florida Water
Or other cologne water
Or cense with incense
Burn candles in front of Our shrines
Ask Us to help you
and We will
We are with you

In my book, Flaming Lioness, I have some  ancient hymns for Nit and Nebet Het and Seshat (all separately).

I tend to really only get Nebet Het.  I rarely get Seshat or Nit in my personal practice.

Yes, Mut is associated with the vulture.  It is one of Her sacred animals and one of the hieroglyphs in Her name if I'm not mistaken.

Em Hotep, Sundancer,

I have books published that are collections of ancient hymns and inscriptions from various temples, stela and papyri.

My books are only for certain deities though:
Lady of Praise, Lady of Power and Mother of Magic for Aset,
Lady of the Temple for Nebet Het and Lord of Strength and Power for Wepwawet
and Flaming Lioness, which is a compilation of ancient hymns for various goddesses such as Aset, Nebet Het, Tefnut, Nit, Seshat, Nut and Bast.  You can find them here:

Also for modern music, there are a few places: ShefytBast's music is here:

Rev. Saryt's music is here:
and I'm not sure where her newer music is.  Hopefully she or someone else will post a link!

What do you mean by hymns?  Do you mean historical hymns from ancient temples or do you mean modern devotional music?

I have Sekhmet-Mut as a beloved, but I have had some experiences with Mut.  I have written some poems about Mut and I've been researching Her for my Mut book.

She's so regal and majestic as you said, but I also find Her very practical and pragmatic.  She's strong in a very grounded way if that makes sense.  She's very much a Queen.  I love Her and think She's amazing.

In doing research about Her, I'm finding Her more multi-faceted than I thought.  She's a goddess of beauty, women, a regal Queen, a Mother and a Creator goddess.  She's also an Eye of Ra, a lioness and a cat.

Oh. Okay.

I'd personally look at how both Aset and Nebet Het are very similar.  I'd focus on their similarities and go from there.  Aset-Nebet Het is very much the Lady of the West, Goddess of the Underworld, so maybe colors like blue and purple.

Aset as Lady of the West was offered grapes and cucumbers and fruit. I found this in a book which I can't remember off the top of my head.  The book may have been the Shrine of Tutankhamun, maybe.

Some offering ideas could be water, flame, vegetables, roses, fruit and cake.

I hope that helps.

There is only some information on the Ma'ati as they are a fusion of Aset and Nebet Het.  I have experienced Them a couple times. I have heard Them speak as  one or Aset speaking for both.

They are primarily found, iirc, in the Hall of  Ma'ati, which is the place where the dead are judged.  I know that the dissertation to Nephthys by Jessica Levai mentions Them, but it's only a paragraph or so.

I would love to help with this.
I filled out Aset's already.  Where  do you want me to send  the information?
