[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Wenut as parent/beloved?
« on: December 13, 2018, 12:44:19 pm »
Em hotep!

Just noticing, and I don't think I've ever seen Wenut as someone's parent or beloved. This made me wonder if there's a reason for Her not having shown up for anyone, or if I missed it, and she actually is.

I remember a while ago reading that someone asked the same question about Ma'at as a name, and someone said that we're all children of Ma'at and that's why She doesn't show up on the RPD. Is there a similar reason for Wenut perhaps?

She's always been a particularly interesting name to me, as it seems that there is so little known about her. :)

Thank you for any answers!

Thank you everybody. The house feels so empty without her. My second dog has been sleeping in her spot instead of with me and is refusing to go for walks. Hopefully when we get her ashes back the emptiness will get a little better.

May Yinepu escort Mindy safely to the place where she is intended. I'll ask my Rottweiler, Kieta, to keep her eyes open for her and to show her around when she arrives there *offers hug*

Thank you so much. I hope Mindy has found Kieta and that they've become friends. ♥

Em hotep,

Today I had to make the hard decision and put my best friend Mindy to sleep due to congestive heart failure - her temperature dropped to a very low number, her lungs were giving out and her heart was three times the size it should be. Mindy was a Jack Russell Terrier with a bit of Corgi in her. She was 17 and a half and I have had her for 11 years. She was an incredibly lucky dog and never had any problems until now. Tomorrow I will be bringing her back to be cremated. Any prayers for her safe journey onward would be appreciated. Her loss is harder than I anticipated it to be. :'(

Thank you, and senebty. <3

Unfortunately there is nothing in my spam folder. If anyone knows who I could e-mail and could let me know, I'd certainly appreciate it :)

Has the class started already? I noticed it said 5th of November on the website, but haven't received anything.

Nebt-het definitely feels liminal to me, too. As does Wepwawet.

On the website it says that the next class begins on October 20th. I applied as well after ten long years, very excited!

Thank you, everyone ♥
I really appreciate the prayers. It's heartbreaking watching someone you love want to die. I pray and hope from now on it will only be healing, calm waters.

As someone who comes from a long line of people who suffered with mental health problems (my great-grandmother even had electro-shock therapy), and who is still dealing with their own problems after ten years, let me say you have my heartfelt sympathies.

I'm not great at writing prayers but I will say "May Serqet and Sekhmet work in unison to help give your loved ones peace of mind and good health"

Thank you.
I had actually considered electroconvulsive therapy in the past for myself. I've heard good things about it, but it seems to not be so easily accessible, at least here.

I will keep you in my prayers as well, and I hope that things get easier for you along the way, as well. ♥

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Re: The number four
« on: August 26, 2018, 06:35:26 pm »
The only information I know of is given when applying for the beginner's class.
It says, "Before answering the following questions, spend four days (the Kemetic number of completion) from the day you decide to apply thinking the decision through." I'm interested in how we know this, or if there's any more info on it at all.

Em hotep,

So, the number four is the Kemetic number of completion... but is there anything else that is known about this? Why four? Is there anything particularly symbolic of the number four, or does it play a major role in some myths?

Thank you :)

Thank you, everyone. These days have been really tough and dramatically tragic for them. I hope things will be okay.
