My Momma is awesome.  She can present as anything you love, along with any of Her theophanies.

She's slippery to define, really.  She is who She is: She does what She wants, whenever She wants, in whatever fashion She wants.

Other than that offering... what would you like to know?  :)

I imagine that could be any of the female Nisuts.... or, possibly, an interesting rendition of Mut. :)

From what I know (which is very little, to be fair), scarabs can also represent Khepera, and/or Zep Tepi. :)

I think of Jesus as an akh, just like my catholic confirmation saint (St. Max Kolbe). :)

I love tiny house (living small/minimalistic in general, actually), and think that building/providing tiny homes for those that don't have a roof to call their own is awesome. This is a wonderful gofundme campaign. Thanks for linking to it, Taryt!

[PUBLIC] Netjer (Our Gods & Goddesses) / Re: possible sign from Set???
« on: December 19, 2014, 07:31:24 pm »

(Speaking for me, and me alone, here...)

My personal opinion?

... doesn't matter. ;)

Really, when you ask a God for a sign, that sign is going to be personalized to you, and you alone. No one else is going to be able to tell you, for sure, whether it's actually what you asked for or not, only you can.

But, for whatever it's worth, if I had asked Set for a sign, and assigned crows to be one of His symbols for me, and then saw that? I'd definitely give it thought, and thank Him for such a sign. And then give Him the space He wants. :)

Again, though, any sort of thought I have on the matter should be taken with a very large granule of natron, since I wasn't the one the sign was meant for.

(Also, if Set *is* in your life, please be careful. He has a tendency to turn things inside out and upside down, and sometimes in not-so-pleasant ways. He's an awesome God, but there's a reason why He is labeled as a God of Chaos. ;) )

Hotep Sard!

There's a stickied thread in the Ask The Nisut sub-forum that is titled "Remetj: Interested in an RPD? Here's how." That should have the info you're looking for. :)

With the human body, it strikes me more as Mer-wer, since most depictions I've seen of Apis are in full bull form, but really it could be either, methinks. :)

Ooooooh! I'd never even heard of Mer-wer. Google has plenty of info on Him, which is awesome. Thank you for the idea, Dorothy! :)

Maybe the Apis bull?

Ahha!! Yes!

When googling "Apis Bull", a whole bunch of pictures show up of cow-form Apis' with solar disk plus uraeus crowns... awesome! You seem to have hit it on the nail, Siwy. Thanks!

Hotep everyone!

So, I found this statue at a local, new-to-me Egypt-o-phile shop, and (after asking permission first), I took some pictures to see if any of you awesome folks could help identify Who it might be.

The everything at the shop (statues included) all come from Egypt (the owner is Egyptian), which is awesome... they have a LOT of Bast statues currently, due to a little mis-ordering for restocking, which is why there's Cats in the background of this picture.

Thanks so much for any insight anyone can give! :)

I think most Muuet are angry spirits, who are trying everything they can to avoid being dead, basically.

I've found quite a few threads about Muuet on the private side of the forum. I'll PM you with links to them, for hopefully better reading. :)

Hotep Gleb!

From my understanding (which means from the last time I read the beginner's material, which has been several years), Muuet are the souls of those who are "putting off" getting to the Halls of Judgement. They tend to be "disturbed" souls, spending much longer than the normal 70 days to get to the Halls, who perhaps don't *want* to get to the Halls, etc. Basically, they're the souls sort of "trapped" between death and judgement, lingering for unknown-to-us reasons between here and there.

Hope this helps! :)
