[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Re: What is Kemetic Orthodox View of Wicca?
« on: September 06, 2010, 12:53:04 am »
I agree with what you said about Satanists taking Set because, well, Satan isn't Set and visa-versa.
As for Wicca...well I just think it's great the Old Gods are getting worshipped and I don't think they mind too much about how :).
Personally I love Wicca, and I was Wiccan for ages... but it didn't work for me in terms of feeling connected to my Gods as I do now.  It was a great jumping off point though, I just realize now it wasn't for me.

Welcome DawnMarie :D.
I'm sure there are lots of people here who would love to help you learn more about Set, there are also heaps of posts about Set that you could search for in the search box too :), if you haven't done that already :P.
And feel free to ask any questions, we love them.

I'm with ASH with regards to Set. I'll just add: if you have a request to ask of Him, make sure you are very clear about what you want, and most importantly, about why you want it. In my own UPG, because He is essentially unpredictable and self-serving, He's the kind of Name who will throw in something unexpected in the bargain. With Set, there's always an ulterior motive. So read the fine print, so to speak, and be ready to get what you wish for - and then some.  :/

This is my own UPG, of course.

That is very much experience with Him too :P.  Also, in my experience, how you would like it to happen.

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Re: What do you wear?
« on: June 26, 2009, 06:48:24 pm »
I usually wear my Ankh, or a Lapis Lazuli pendant (Since it's a very important in ancient Kemet), but I have a small Khepera pendant that I wear, plus a Khepera ring with clear quartz in it.

And I love your Sekhmet-Mut statue Allati, I've been looking for it everywhere!  We used to sell it in my store (Along with an Aset which was the same), but apparently the company we got them in from stopped getting them.  I wanted the Sekhmet-Mut at the time, but silly me I didn't get it.  Do you mind if I ask where you got it from?

PS. Love the rest of your Shrines too :).
