Meat would definitely be a good offering, and I would think Wine too.  I'm sure some kids/beloveds of Mafdet will jump on here with more definite ideas for you soon.

Em Hotep and Welcome :D

Sobeq - I can totally see that!  Hmm...think I need to go listen to some Doors for the rest of the day :D.

Avonell - I don't know about Arieni, but I had 'I'll dance, dance, dance...with my hands, hands, hands...above my head, head, HetHert said' in my siggie for quite a while :P.  Been singing it that way since I first heard it, and I sing it as 'Bloody Sekhmet' :P.

Nedjheret - I agree :) I think HetHert-Sekhmet loves Gaga!

What's the difference between Bast and HetHert? Well, spontanously I'd say it's a matter of animals. HetHert is never seen as a cat, and Bast has little connection with cows, right?

Welllllllll...There IS Hethert's connection to Sekhmet, who is a Lioness...which was originally Bast's main form :).  Which I try not to think about too hard, because, you know, it hurts ma head!

I'm more than willing to talk, if you want to PM me Aashem :)

Em Hotep and Welcome Ivy :D

Perhaps.  Although, it would probably only have been the well-to-do, or higher up the social ladder, that would have benefited from it in that way.  Literacy wasn't a thing for the Masses in those days.  Of course, that doesn't stop little bits of wisdom being shared by word-of-mouth.
