[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / I Have Sent Application
« on: April 13, 2013, 04:40:16 pm »
Just to let everyone know that I sent my application to join the May class. I'm really excited about the idea of being able to learn and join. I really can't wait to see who my parents are.

Thank you, I will do that.

See this is one of the main reason why I want to join, besides feeling a connection to the Netjer, I like being around people that will help you and inspire you.

[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Want To Join

I have a question for all of you. I want to join HON and be apart of you wonderful people. I don't have a printer to print out the application. Can I just do a blank e-mail, write the questions and then the answer. Thanks for any help that you can give me.

Oh I've done the four days of contemplation and have made my choice.

I have a box that I bought two years ago. Thank you so much. I'm so lucky that my statues are mini and not large. I'll do something cool with it. Summer project time.

Hay, guys.

I know that I haven't been on in what seems like forever but I decided to post this. I'm 33-years-old and being forced to still live at home with mother due to the fact that I have no money. We moved to Kentucky over nine months ago and I wasn't able to bring anything with me that was part of my religion. I'm finally getting back to my practice and guess what, my mother wants my statues gone.

I don't know what the Kemetic view of this is. But what I would love to know is are there any Kemetics out there that still live at home, either by force or still looking around, and what should I do. I did post this on Sharon's forum, the author that did 'Following the Sun' and she recommended a cabinet. I'm getting one next month and decorating it only enough to hide them.

Your opinion would be lovely.

I'm still reading the Throne of Fire. Haven't had much energy because my tonsils are inflamed. I'm going to petition Sekhmet to heal me. My mother is allowing me to get a Kindle and I've put the last Kane Chronicles book on my wish list. Going for my GED so that I can go to collage. I want to go to community collage and take history and art (yes, fav subjects of mine) and then go to a University and take Archeology. My area will be Egypt and then I can start doing what I've been wanting to do since I was little, be an Egyptologist.

I totally agree, the gods are always watching.

Am I remembering wrong in that there used to be someone in the House that made and sold it?

To bad this person isn't around. I'm thinking about just trying to make it and letting you know how it turns out. I'm always up for a challenge.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks, man that's a lot of stuff. I'm going to buy a little at a time until I have them all. Another reason that I want to make it is so that I can have it whenever I need it instead of waiting three weeks for it.

Sacred Source is where I got my MOST prized possesion, my large (almost 2ft. tall) Aset icon. I've never seen it anywhere else, and it disappeared from the site soon after I bought it. One shot deal...well, so far it seems to be.

Good thing I was on high-alert-hunt-mode for it, else I never would have lucked out! I think it's a process really. I spent a LONG time trying to find the perfect one.

That's what happened with my Amun-Ra statue. No sooner had I bought it but it was gone, forever. Glad I was able to get it.

Granite was carved by a lengthy process of pounding with dolomite stones.  This is well documented both by depictions and physical remains.  But regardless, it is not your position to defend against his assumptions.  He bears the burden of proof.

I've actually stopped talking to him. If he wants to think that they didn't I don't personally care.

Em hotep,

I've been burning Kyphi for Amun-Ra using Kyphi incense that I bought from Egyptian Marketplace. But what I want to know, and I know that Kyphi is very much connected to Ancient Egypt (Kemet)is that do you guys make it or buy it. If you make it I would really like to know if it's possible for a recipe so that I can make it in large batches so that I don't have to buy it.

If the URL of the article is any indication, it was written in August 2004, which was just about a year after the House closed on buying the (current) Tawy II property in Joliet.  :)

I'm a late reader to anything. I was still involved in Wicca in 2004. That was two years before my mother told me that she didn't like Wicca or witchcraft and that left me searching. I'm personally glad I found where I belong.

Seems they're a little late on the uptake, since I don't think the opening of Tawy House is exactly recent. But interesting article nonetheless!

Glad you like. I'm also glad that we're being taken seriously by learned men and women. It's exciting!
