[PUBLIC] Kemetic Orthodox Q&A / Re: WANT TO SEE YOUR SHRINE PICTURES
« on: September 18, 2020, 11:16:43 pm »
While visiting my shrine early this evening, I noticed the way the sun was kissing Sekhmet's statue.  I think She didn't mind when I paused my meditation to grab the camera:

The red ribbon is from regnal year 25.....
(I might add a white ribbon to it....)

Purification #39

Neheb-nefret helps remind us that we should always value the food we have. Food makes a long journey to us and some food we put the time and energy into growing ourselves. Think about all the people, animals, and places that your food is interconnected with.

We saw via PBS a program called "The Colorado".  (Highly recommended by the way.)  One of its musically enhanced segments showed the farm workers whose efforts are fed with water from the Colorado.  They showed lettuce pickers and date gatherers (which are both grown here in Yuma).  I was glad to be reminded of the workers efforts.   When I give thanks for my food, I will remember and thank these workers.

Dua Neheb-nefret!

Neheh

Prayers for the Ka of Chase, may he find welcoming faces in the Duat, and may all who knew him be comforted.

Also, may Ma'at prevail in regards to the guilty driver.

Em hotep and welcome, Lisbeth!

I find Set is definitely one for granting the strength to get through rough situations.  But it's not only "Set-kids" who find that so....

Big Love from Netjer is always going to mean (for me) Hethert (Hathor), but then as a Hethert kid, I'm a bit prejudiced.  Set has some awesome love, too.  ("Not prejudiced" there, either, being Set kid....)

Like Ma'atnofret said, all the Netjeru can have the big love for us.
