Em hotep, child of Serqet-Aset here :) in my personal experience, Serqet is quite easy to approach, but maybe not quite as easy to 'hear', as it were. She's very subtle.
When asking for help for mental illness related things (which I have done both for myself and on behalf of others) I find that asking nicely works wonders. Ive asked for emergency help in situations where I had nothing to give, and Ive never felt ignored because of it.

With offerings, she seems to love citrus :D sherbet lemons went down very well

But yh, Im sure she would be able to at least try to help. Her influence has helped me with depression and lingering panic attacks before. Hope all goes well :)

Ooh, ooh! (Sorry for jumping back on this but I just remembered)
If youre going to spirit work, its also veeeery much advised to learn some shielding and banishing techniques, just in case things get hairy. Happily, different versions of these are all a simple google search away

Just sayin - talking to Netjeri/ spirits is quite a low-key thing (the way I do it anyways). It just takes listening, and possibly some small offerings.
If you look around, there are also resources for witching activities that are discreet/ small scale - sigil magic, etc. The beauty of witchcraft is that you can make your own practise, and it doesnt have to involve elaborate rituals or anything.
I doubt youd suck at any of these things if you researched and just kept practising, even if you dont think its working.

I've heard something to do with Amun-Ra (or at least Ra when he's in the Duat) being related to Khnum or taking the role of Khnum in some way.... sorry, that's kind of vague but it's too late to be digging out sources right now =.= I might stumble across it again at some point

I research loads of forms of witchcraft/ magic and such to inspire my Heka (when I eventually get round to doing it :P ). There's a load more information on more traditional forms of 'magic' than there are for Heka and stuff specifically, and most of it can be easily adapted :D

The thought of offering sand art has crossed my mind, but of course I havent been able to find any/ any means of making any since then XD

Em hotep :)

In my experience, Set likes spicy things, red things and silver metals (I have a few metal bangles on his shrine). Hematite and red gemstones also go down well. For incense, I usually offer sandalwood and patchouli :) I imagine rocks and sand would also be good ~

Acts of bravery, courage and strength are good to dedicate to him, and I often ask him for help when I need to be strong,or brave, or for protection on city streets and such. I personally find it easiest to feel his influence in the wind, and in looming dark clouds

Hope that helps you get started :) you can always PM me if you have any more questions

I use this site a lot :) the myths certainly vary from source to source, but the versions on this site are pretty easy to follow and I've never found anything obviously wrong with them.

Good resource, I'd say :D
