I wonder if you could still make natron with it but use it only for purifying objects or as a room spray. But I know I'd run the risk of mixing edible and non-edible natron together...
Guess you'll just have to start a new aquarium!

A while ago I got the urge to set up my shrine outside. It was nice to relax with Netjer, listening to the birds, feeling the breeze, getting eaten alive by mosquitos... I went a little overboard by putting *all* of my stuff out cause I had more space on that table than I normally do. Still, it was fun to mix things up! Even if I did get bugs in my offering water so I couldn't revert it, lol.

*kicks down the metaphorical door while waving a phone blaring a Spotify playlist*
"Passenger Seat" - Death Cab for Cutie "Quarter Past Midnight" - Bastille "Move Along" - The All-American Rejects "Dog Days Are Over" - Florence + the Machine "Home" - Dotan "Haven" - Enter the Haggis (I stole this from Rev. Sema'a's Wepwawet playlist) "Road Trippin'" - Red Hot Chili Peppers "Midnight Rider" - The Allman Brothers Band "Born to Run" - Bruce Springsteen "Born To Be Wild" - Steppenwolf "Don't Stop" - Fleetwood Mac "Runnin' Down A Dream" - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers "Turn! Turn! Turn!" - The Byrds "Don't Stop Me Now" - Queen "Highwayman" - The Highwaymen "Easy Rider" - Johnny Cash "Time Waits For No One" - Freddie Mercury
and honestly any other song you can take a road trip with, the windows down, your hair blowing in the wind, and the road leading you past the horizon.

I'm tickled that last night was the first time I'd really thought of Min and now this thread pops up. He needs more attention, clearly.

I have so many new things I was happy to finally use like my lotus lamp (currently burning kyphi from @noumenon-does-art.) The prints and bracelet are also from Nou and the pins are from a Kickstarter from TojoShop on Etsy. The prayer beads are from @firefoxalchemy. The black ribbon is from a fundraiser at HoN where it was used to dress Ra’s statue last year and the black jackal I bought on a trip to Canada. I’m so happy and it looks more put together to me than before."

My uncle is kind of estranged from the family but I think my grandmother is asking for me to do what I can to help. He lived with her until she passed away and then he moved in with my aunt until he up and left. He's burned through all of his inheritance, is homeless, and is struggling with a cocaine and heroin addiction on the streets of Portland. I've met him maybe once or twice in my life but no one deserves such a life.
I ask for prayers for his mental and physical health and that circumstances turn around for him.

I've started to take up dancing for my Dad and Set gets to listen to me singing as I'm going down the highway. Ra gets some quiet contemplation and coffee in the mornings and a wave hello when I'm driving to work at 6 AM. I'll also usually invite them to share in my meals or other special treats. For Wep Ronpet I started a Kemetic journal to document quotes, dreams, heka, etc. And I have e-shrines for Wepwawet and Set on Tumblr.

I'm kind of tickled that I ended up jumping on the Morning Star incense train with no knowledge of it outside of "this is small and smells nice let's give it a go." Glad to see others are using it as well!

I thought it would be a good idea to have a list going of where everyone buys things for their shrines, especially for Beginners who might be feeling overwhelmed (I know I was!) I honestly bought most of my supplies at Target. I house my shrine and supplies in a plain gift box that I plan on decorating. The lid serves as a backdrop of sorts. I also bought four dark blue bamboo bowls from Target to use as my offering dishes. I like that bamboo is such a bio-friendly resource and I love the color of them. I keep my natron in an acacia salt dish, also from Target. I used to use a sandalwood and myrrh candle until I almost set my bookcase on fire. I just used Morning Star myrrh incense today and I love it. It's also ritually pure for Senut, unlike most Indian incense (no urea or cow dung!) It can be bought from http://www.nipponkodostore.com/Mornings-Star-s/282.htm but I got it from a pagan store in my neighborhood. I have a few bits of kyphi/kapet and a portrait of Ra I bought on Etsy from https://www.etsy.com/shop/NoumenonDoesArt I'm eagerly awaiting matching prints of Wepwawet and Set in the mail! I also have a lovely Ra bracelet from Nou that I use to decorate my shrine when I'm not wearing it. I also have a large salt block candle holder and a selenite candle holder that I found at either HomeGoods or TJMaxx. I use LED tealights in them that I probably bought at Target or the Dollar Store.

Em hotep! I was kind of in the same boat as you. While Set was the One Who shoved me at KO, I felt I had a much stronger bond with Yinepu. I work in the veterinary field and was actually specifically searching for dog-related deities to worship. During my RPD when Hemet (AUS!) asked Who I thought would show up, I said and I quote, "Yiiiiiinepu?"
Well I was close but not quite, haha! And I was so confused afterwards going who is this guy???
As for the akhu issues, well I don't know anyone on my father's side and I was reluctant to do ancestor worship in general. I decided to simply offer to "my unknown and known ancestors who wish to be included" so that those who were devout Christians, etc. don't have to be bothered with Kemetic things. The RPD also included an akhu divination which was very reassuring to me that my akhu do love me and are proud of me. I hope that should you decide to join KO and do the RPD that your experiences are good.

I won't go into too many details as there are plenty of news articles that cover things better than I could. There was a Nazi rally this weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. Heather, a counter-protester, was killed when a Nazi ran his car into a crowd. Others are injured but so far alive.
May her ka rest in peace and may her death and bravery not be forgotten. May her family and friends remember her fondly. May isfet be defeated!

Take all the time you need, Sekhep! I hope your adult responsibilities (ugh) get taken care of. Make sure you relax and have a good Epag and Wep Ronpet, too!

This last bit of the year has been difficult for me and I think an Oracle will help lift my spirits (or kick my butt into gear, haha.) I'd greatly appreciate one.

I think Netjeru do need us. They require our offerings to sustain Them and They require us to work their will on earth. I know I read of a pharaoh who went "hey, we're not gonna give you offerings until you give us what we need." I'll have to hunt down the specifics.
