Images of Netjeru

Hi
I purchased a statuette of Bast and I was wondering does it have to be blessed / purified before I put it in my shine.
Senebty!
Aset closes Her arms around me.
Nebet-Het hugs me.
Nit encircles me.
Serqet puts Her arms on me.
I am protected.

I don't think so. None of my statues have been purified or blessed by any one in particular. You can easily purify, consecrate, or bless the statue once you get it, but I don't think it's necessary.

I like to present my new statues like an offering and an embodiment that the gods can choose to inhabit. There is a purifying process in the prayerbook that you can use too. ^_^
