Sekhmet. But that's maybe because she'd been most direct with requests even out with 'worship', and more 'concrete' with the religious practice nudges than the others.

Both of my parents, Amun-Ra and Set, can be quite demanding.  Set would sort of like his own shrine area, but that is not possible at the moment.  He can compromise.  If he cant have his own alter, he just has to be in the most visible spot.  He also can take a temporary backseat to Amen-Ra, but he still definately makes his presence known.

I enjoy reading these posts if only because I have never had to experience a Name "demand" anything of me, including how I set up shrines and the like.

But that might also be because I've never been drawn towards Names that have been known to be particularly "demanding" of their worshippers, including my own Mother, who is sometimes seen as a form of Aset. *shrugs*

I can't say that I've ever been "drawn" to a deity, I have always felt that the deity called me, not the other way around *shrug*

I'd say it's the same thing...."being drawn to" a diety would indicate there's something there "calling" you....

I guess to me- there is a difference- as in, is the deity calling me to them, or am I setting out towards the deity. That's teh difference I'm saying- I didn't set out and pick Setekh, Setekh told me "get over here" lol.

You could take it both ways....to me, you either pick them and they allow you to, or they pick you....and allow you to think that *you* did it...lol...

I agree with you, Ara.  It's like what Aslan said in one of the Narnia books when two of the children were trying to call Him.  "You would not be calling Me if I were not already calling you."  Or something like that.  Netjer speaks to me through Narnia quotes sometimes.  :)

*chuckle* Yeah, Geb sometimes dropkicks a song in my noodle out of nowhere when He wants something from me. Like, "Feed the Birds, Tuppence a Bag" from "Mary Poppins"... Netjer, sheez...   I can't stand "Mary Poppins"...

Djheuti has spoken to me on several occasions with the song "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley.
I know if I hear that song in my head for no reason, it's because He's telling me to stop fussing, take a breath and relax because I can't (nor should I try to) control the situation at hand.

I wouldn't call Her "high maintenance," but in my experience, when Serqet asks for something, it's not unreasonable but also not merely a suggestion about something I could do later. :)

It's always been this way for me too.  Except for with Heru (I hope I have his name right.  I learned their Greek names first and it's hard to break that association), who I want to develop a relationship with, but he seems very uninterested in me.
Deep into the darkness, peering
long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal
     ever dared to dream before.
