Author Topic: Hi, Everyone  (Read 10155 times)

Hi, Everyone
« on: September 02, 2010, 09:19:12 pm »
My name is DawnMarie and I'm from Massachusetts.  I've been studying Tameran Wicca for the past several years, but find myself wanting to worship the Egyptian Deities in a more authentic manner.  Aset is one of my personal Gods - and I have a thing for Anpu.  I don't mean that disrespectfully - he makes me giddy like a schoolgirl - and I just adore him.  He is what led me to the Egyptian pantheon in the first place.  Lately, I have become fascinated by Set, which I'm having trouble understanding, but I am researching him and hope to have the courage to approach him soon.

I look forward to "meeting" you all soon.
Deep into the darkness, peering
long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal
     ever dared to dream before.

Welcome Dawnmarie!
I'm new to Kemet, and have quickly learnt that every question I have asked has been answered quickly and honestly. And no question is ever considered daft, as I've also found out! :D The members are lovely, I'm sure you'll love it here.

Fascinated by Set, eh?  Well, there's no lack of folks here ready and eager to talk about Him until I'm ... er... we're blue in the face. ;)

Thanks, everyone, for making me feel so welcome.  I especially appreciate the encouragement to ask questions - I'm afraid I have a lot of them.

I promise I'll try not to drive you all crazy with my eagerness to learn everything.

I'm so excited to be here!

I hope you won't regret saying this, Khesretitui.  And thank you for giving me the opportunity to pick your brain about Set.
