Message given to me in Senut
« on: October 10, 2010, 01:46:46 am »
Today, during Senut, I was given a few messages.  The first being a message I was told to pass onto those of the KO faith, (or anyone who will listen, really - so I was just corrected).

"Always be true to yourself. Be proud of yourself. Be honest with yourself. At the end of the day the only person who really cares about you is you. Sure, you'll have people who care about you, and who you care for back, but they are not the ones who will have live with yourself. They are not the ones who have to make you happy. They have themselves to maintain. You were not created to live someone elses life. You were created to live your own life. This means getting past those who think they should control you. This means getting past those who have wronged you in the past (as that, too, is a form of control). This means getting to the crux of WHO you really are. So what if it's against the normal expectations of society?

This does not mean you have to bring attention to yourself. You can still be true to yourself whilst being modest. It does not mean that you need to break the laws of society, as doing so will inhibit you - as being locked away can't help you live your life.

The message that is being passed on, is that you shouldn't feel the need to put on a front to others. If they don't like who you are, they don't deserve to be in your life."

Em hotep laityinepu, Thankyou so much for sharing this important message with us. I had a similar answer from Netjer the other day when I asked for help getting out of my financial situation. I was told that only I can change it for the better and that it won't happen overnight. I was told that I was heading in the right direction, and to be honest with myself. I was beginning to think that there was no way out, but I know now that Netjer will always guide me when I need it, and your message has just reinforced this.  :)

I think it's no coincidence that I'm a jql kid, and this is probably one of our main views on life. We don't need to tolerate anything like that in our lives, and we don't.

Thanks Iait, it's a response I needed to hear (on the day I get a notice from domino's people first service that I've been terminated, no less), some prayer that was deep in my heart.  Now to hopefully get a new job teaching kids how to dance and maybe get the start up capitol for a leather business.  Bills'd have to come down enough before I do that though, and I would be selling to house peoples and donating a potrion to the house from those sales.

Em hotep!  Thank you so much for sharing this.  Almost uncanny how this message has touched so many of us at just the right time!  Clearly, something we should all strive to remember!

This is a message that was sort of a jolt for me, as I have been considering my life and where it is going... So much easier said than done.  I pray for the strength and resolve to stay true to myself.
