Her crown includes the Lower Egyptian Crown, the Lower Egyptian falcon tail feathers, and horizontal horns with sundisk on a vulture headdress. The only female at Philae to wear the horizontal horns. These elements emphasize Lower Egyptian iconography.

I would be curious what if any glyphs were around that photo. I am curious if she is intended to be depicted after her deification, which happened after she was dead. She was not deified in her lifetime. During her life she was priestess of the ram of Mendes. After her deification Ptolemy decreed her image be placed in all the houses of the gods.

My sources are _Ptolemaic Philae_ by Vassilika and _A History of the Ptolemaic Empre_ by Holbl.

EM hotep!

I have learned that this full thesis on the Crown of Arsinoe can be downloaded for free as a PDF at http://gupea.ub.gu.se/handle/2077/23417

The author successfully defended the paper on 20 November.
