Friends and Children of Heru- please read
« on: December 18, 2010, 05:45:09 pm »
Em Hotep all!

So I have only been Kemetic for a few months and I have lots to learn and am really enjoying myself. In these few months I've had most  of my dealings with Heru. I love him so much and we are growing closer.

I am wondering if you can tell me more about him. Anyone can answer who has had a relationship with him, but I am specifically looking for close friends and children of his.

Thank you, Netjer bless, and Senebty.

I echo Tanebet's question of "Which Heru?"

It makes a difference in the interaction.
My interaction isn't so much with Heru-Sa-Aset, as it is with Heru-wer. Both are very different in personality and approach.

Hotep. I am actually asking about Heru-sa-aset. Sorry. I looked at the links briefly and I can agree with some of what they said. I will read them in more detail later.

This interests me, as my son has recently taken quite in interest in Heru (as in Heru-sa-Aset, at least I think so).

So, what would/could a CHILD offer Heru? I've seen rum and other alcohol, coffee/coffee cake. What else might he like? He offered Him a marshmallow, and I kinda got the feeling it got a little indulgent chuckle...
O_O

My son also wants some lit on Him, where might I look for something kid-friendly? (he's 11, so he can handle a LITTLE more "adult" reading, but nothing to "serious-academic")

Em Hotep *henu*,

Heru loves chocolate, especially with nuts.
I heard He likes Cream Soda, but that is nothing He ever wanted from me, He even told me that I don't have to buy it when I found it in a supermarket.
And Heru likes everything you put some own effort into, so your son could offer a picture.

Having no children myself I have no idea what would be suitable. All the books and texts I have are quite academic. And the one book just dealing with Heru-Sa-Aser is in French. Maybe Mercer, but he is hard to find and a bit outdated. But maybe someone else has some ideas.

Thanks Tanebet, maybe we'll give that a go. My son LOVES drawing, most especially birds, (he is SUCH a bird child) so I'll tell him that.

Heru-sa-Aset has always been odd with his offerings from me.  M y little shrine to him has change, dice, beads, shiny things, fossils and a cell phone.  Long story.

glad i'm not the only one. i was playing some Brahms on the piano one day and had the feeling of SomeOne right over me.  i asked Him later that night through another diviner if it was Him and it was a resounding "Yes!".

Brahms. who knew.... :)

Tanebet: I can't explain it, really... I just knew he really, really wanted a telephone.  My cell phone, the cordless handset... every phone in existence kept ending up on his little shrine.  I was like, "Who exactly are you going to call?"

A few days later, I ended up getting a new surprise cell phone.  The old one is now his :P
