Nit Offerings?
« on: January 09, 2011, 03:52:39 pm »
Hotep, All.

Anyone have any suggestions for special offerings to Nit?  WepWiki is a bit lean on that topic.

Thanks much,

Tahai

I've only ever offered to her infrequently, but when I did, she didn't seem put off by the usual host of "tough god" offerings I make to Set and the gang. Unfortunately, I'm not much more help than that.

I've heard she likes meat, especially red meat, alcoholic beverages and water.

Nit likes tequila and dark, strong beers (stouts, anything really dark and strongly flavored), as well as root beer, in my experience. Mostly, I offer her my time, particularly spent on projects that I've already started. She doesn't like too many things around here to be unfinished, and so when I return to something that I know good and well I should have finished by now, I offer that to her. :) Time spent knitting or crocheting, etc., would probably go over well, too. You can always ask her if she would appreciate this or that as an offering. She's pretty direct, at least with me. :)

Hope that helps!
Look out the window. And doesn't this remind you of when you were in the boat, and then later that night you were lying looking up at the ceiling, and the water in your head was not dissimilar from the landscape, and you think to yourself Why is it that the landscape is moving but the boat is still?

Thank you, All!

I ended up offering a glass of cabernet sauvignon; a mix of almonds, walnuts, dark chocolate, and golden rasins; and my creative labor finishing an Amulet for Sobek I stalled out on last year.

The wine and food were politely received, but I'm not sure with how much enthusiasm.  In regards to the amulet:  creative block was smashed away and now I'm onto finishing touches that don't require much thought.

For my part, I don't mind at all.  Thanks, Nai!
