That shop looks totally awesome!  :D

They really are!  The people who run it are super nice and extremely prompt with responses and shipping - guaranteed I'll be buying from them in the future!  I have a few friends who have bought their soaps and they say they're divine.

I found this website while researching incense yesterday:
http://incensemaking.com/index.html

The site has some very simple directions on how to make your own incense.

The kapet recipe in the prayer book looks similar to their recipes for fruit and honey pellets. The Nisut expressed concern over how much those smoke, but apparently on this site they recommend heating them gently rather than directly burning them.

I made a cheap version of their incense stove last night and it doesn't smoke at all. The scent wasn't very strong though, so maybe I need to put the platform a little lower to get more heat? It smelled like someone was baking something which was nice.

Has anyone else had any luck with the kapet recipe from the book? I was also considering burning it on charcoal. (The site also recommended charcoal, but with a layer of ash in between so once again it doesn't burn directly.) Anyway, I'm having fun playing with it.

A local store gave me some little sample packs of Auroshikha incense. I liked it, and ended up buying several different scents.

"Auroshikha uses no glue in its incense paste, and no cow dung, making it different in this regard than many incense varieties from around the world."

I wonder about urea still in that incense. I even came across lotion that had a urea additive in it the other day...

If you do, kindly share!! I am curious in making my own blends of incense that doesn't involve stickiness. ^_^

This is my first post :-)

I'm a big fan of Fred Soll's incense: http://fredsoll.com/aboutincense.html

I'm not sure about urea, etc., but the incense is natural and I find that it does not give me headaches like many other brands of incense do.

urea in lotion is quite common, and its very good for cracked skin.
I have had to get over using wee wee lotions for my feet :|
but i would rather not have sore feet anyday.

For my feet, I use a really nice bees wax and lavender cream that is all natural from my local apple orchard. No urea included! It works wonderfully! ^_^

I use Spiritual Sky incense.  They're a company in New Zealand (I think?  Its either that or Australia), its ritually pure, they have some absolutely divine scents (I'm a big fan of Om, Lavender, African Violet, Jasmine, and Rose), and they ship worldwide!  =D  Just Google Spiritual Sky, and you should find them!  hope this helps!

Has anyone ever used   Scents of the Earth Kyphi ?  Or any other of their products?  I've been looking at theirs and the Edfu from Alchemy Works and can't decide between the two.  Might just get both and see which Mom likes better...
