Does anyone have any good Wesir references? Prayers, blessings, (ASIDE from the prayerbook, which I have) books-etc.

Thanks for anything in advance.  :D

Griffiths, J. G. "The Origins of Osiris and His Cult." was a good read.
A book I didn't like so much was B. Mojsov's "Osiris: Death and Afterlife of a God"
Tanebetheru "Heru's Lordship"
Sat Heru Sa Aset her Nisut (AUS), Meryt Ra-Heru-akhety her Heru-Behedety
Heri-Sesheta Heru-Sa-Aset

This is what I was born to: to live, to love, to know, to change and embrace the infinite.

Em hotep Timu!

Most of anything prayer-wise for Wesir can be found in the Book of the Dead or the Coffin/Pyramid Texts. That is where a majority of my collection comes from. All the books listed are great sources as well along with:

Journey Through the Afterlife by John Taylor
Abydos: Holy City of Ancient Egypt by Omm Sety and Hanny El Zeini
A Guide to Religious Ritual at Abydos by Rosalie David

Also the Great Hymn of Wesir can be found in many places. I have it in Echoes of Egyptian Voices by John Foster.

Is there a particular type of hymn you are looking for?

Yes actually, thank you Raheri. Something along the lines of blessing/protecting...?

Rockin, thanks! :D

I don't have a BOD, or the Coffin Texts. I have other stuff but offhand all I can think of is Awakening Osiris.

What type of UPG are you looking for? I haven't responded because it seems like you're looking for specific types of texts- which I can't help with. But if there are any other specifics you're looking for, I might be able to input.

LOL Okay. Here are some things I've written. :)

Wesir-Sokar
Dua Wesir, in your face of Wesir-Sokar!
Lord of the darkened sun
From which creativity sparks,
May seeds of crop, fruit, and beauty
All bloom with your care and loving caress
Perfume the air with the scents you love,
And guide me with your eternal knowing
I ask you, King of Ancestors and growth,
To teach me to listen to my whispering akhu
Wesir-Sokar, King of Mysteries,
Please guide my feet when all seems lost.

Thanking Wesir-Sokar as a Creative Aspect
I thank you for my creative insights,
As you have blessed me with your knowledge
Thank you for guiding my hands
And showing me which colors are best
I give thanks to you, allowing my heart to show in my work
Thank you for lending me a spark of your creativity
I honor you, dear King; I thank you from my ka
Please continue to look fondly upon me,
Letting my hands speak what is in my heart.

Things I associate with Wesir-Sokar:
colors: greens, dark brown, deep yellows
scents: rich dirt, sunflowers
signs: sunflowers, corn, dirt, seeds, Apis bull
appearance: seated green skinned man wearing a white robe with plumed headdress holding a sprouting dirt pile in one hand with an ankh in the other
"voice": just basically 'knowing' things about Him... random stuff coming to mind, etc
words/phrases: potential of new growth, lord of the darkened sun, deep knowledge
offerings: seeds, dirt, writing about Him

I also sent you a PM with something else I wrote. :)
