Children of Yinepu-Wepwawet, would you help us?
« on: August 15, 2011, 09:52:47 pm »
Em Hotep, everyone!

This month, on the 26th and 27th, my Wiccan group here is Brazil is going to honor Yinepu-Wepwawet with 24 hours of offerings. It will be an offering per hour and we will also read hymns, poems and texts about Yinepu-Wepwawet.

So  I would like to ask the Children of Yinepu-Wepwawet for some suggestions of offerings He would appreciate and also for suggestions of Hymns, poems and so forth.

Would you like to help us create a beautiful rite for your Father?

Thank you all.

Senebty,
Asetdjaut

Strong, Spicy Foods (Flavors Such as clove) Spiced rum and smoke from Tobacco and or Kretek (Clove ciggeretts) should be a good start.

This is all UPG, but I've had good luck with chocolate, particularly Toblerone. Dark, fancier chocolates also seem to be appreciated.

There is a hymn to Yinepu in the Ancient Egyptian Prayerbook by Tamara Siuda.

I wrote a piece of music for Yinepu a few years ago. One version is up on Myspace here, and I'd be happy to send you a copy. :)

Em hotep, Asetdjaut.

Personal experience only, but Yinepu really likes a set of bronze hedgehogs my daughter gave to me. They stack inside each other, a bit like Russian dolls, and He seems to like that. I put them in my shrine, and, well, they're His now... :).

Nice boxes. Even better would be those puzzle boxes or boxes with a hidden drawer. (This is due to him being Master of Secrets, particularly of secrets kept in boxes. ;) )

I also find he likes pretty things made from glass. Glass is sand which has been transformed into something more beautiful, just as he helps to transform the deceased into something more beautiful too.

There are two hymns to Wepwawet and one to Khenty-Amentiu in the [LINK REMOVED BY MOD].

I have heard that Wepwawet likes dice, and in my experience Yinepu does as well. I use them for divination, but I get the impression that games would also be appreciated. Perhaps playing dice games would be a good way to spend the time in between making offerings. :) Yinepu and Wepwawet both seem to like strong flavours and spices, but Yinepu also seems fond of sweet things – cakes, biscuits, chocolates of all sorts, sweets. Baking him biscuits in the shape of bones seems terribly appropriate to me on many levels. :)

Em Hotep!

Thank you all for your contributions! We will create a beautiful rite for Yinepu thanks to your suggestions.

Sobeq, I would appreciate if you could send me a copy of your song. We could play it for Him, thank you.

Em hotep :)

I am a child of Wepwawet-Yinepu and have found that particularly the Wepwawet aspect really seems to appreciate dark spiced chocolate.  Also smells like cinnamon, moroccan musk, things like that.

Hotep!  *henu*

Another chocolate offering you can give Him are Tootsie Rolls.  ^_^  You can also present any toy offerings you think He might like as well.

Hotep!

I also think I should mention that I have never had an offering rejected from Yinepu nor has He ever intimated that a particular type of offering was taboo or inappropriate.
